Share this wonderful quiet and light filled apartment with me and another AirBnB guest. Your private room has a queen sized bed., that can easily fit two people, and beautiful skylight. You'll be sharing one of the two clean, granite tiled bathrooms with me.
The apartment has a modern and relatively new finish with a spacious, comfortable living room that has its own large skylight and air conditioner. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, large fridge and of course lots of cooking ware that you can use. We also have wireless high speed internet. The apartment is located on the 5th floor but its a quick walk up.
Located on the border of Chinatown, Little Italy and the Lower East Side it offers a lively neighborhood with lots of great restaurants, bars and shops from stylish to cheap. Directly next to the B/D Grand Street subway its easy commute to and from almost anywhere in the city as the B/D trains connect to all other major lines.
I have been hosting people for the past 3 years and have only made great experiences and am a big fan of AirBnB as a host but also as a frequent traveler.
If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch anytime.
Full kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher
Me - your very own experienced New Yorker that can tell you everything you want to know about the city.
I'll be at the apartment to accommodate all your needs. I like cooking or doing activities with visitors as much as time permits. And of course I'm happy to answer any questions you have.
Its incredibly diverse, with people from all around the world. Of course there are lots of Chinese restaurants but there also are Italian, Mexican, Icelandic, cheap eats and and fancy elegant restaurants close by. I also love the fruit and vegetable stalls that I buy my fresh produce from. They're convenient and add a lot of color to the streetscape.
The B & D trains are right on the block. The N, R and 6 trains are 10 minutes by foot. Theres a citi bike station just two minutes away and its really easy and fast to get to SoHo, the Lower East Side, the Financial and Little Italy.
We only have two house rules: You have to take off your shoes and please don't drink the last beer in the fridge.

Although our host was not present in the apartment the day of our arrival, he arranged for the handling of the keys in a perfect way relying on one of his friends. Everything went perfectly smooth and we really appreciated also the welcoming kit (instructions + towels + keys + some sweets) that the host prepared for us in our room!
The room was in perfect conditions, exactly as it looked like in the pics.
The neighborhood proved to be optimal for our needs, since it is in a central position greatly served by the subway and that guarantees the possibility to reach major points of interest with a simple walk.
Sascha is a very good host. He's welcoming, funny, and always there when you have a question or need some help for anything. He is also very accommodating.
The place looks exactly as described, the room is quiet and comfortable. Perfectly located, just one block away from the subway, in the heart of Chinatown and 5-10 minutes walk from East Village, SoHo.
I was so happy to come to his SoHo's art walk, it's very interesting and you discover things you had never think about if he didn't introduced them to you.
The roof of his building is absolutely amazing, with a great view on different well-known bridges and skyscrapers!!
During my stay, i had some issues with hot water because of some works in the street, and walk up the stairs was sometimes hard (particularly when you have heavy stuffs with you), but that's all i could notice.
Book his room, you'll not be disappointed ;)
Communicating with Sasha before we arrived and arranging to be let in and get keys was a breeze. The apartment is very cool and clean. The room isn't huge, but there's a big closet and two shelving units to put all your stuff away. The location can't be beat. Just minutes from several subway lines and we always felt safe walking in the area. Within in a 15-minute walk are tons of cool bars and restaurants. It's also close to the East River Promenade, a great place to go for a run or walk. We didn't see him until our last day, but he generously invited us on his Soho ArtWalk as his guests. Don't miss this if you get the chance. We'd definitely stay again.
Great location in Manhattan, close to everything by walk (Chinatown, Little Italy Soho...) or underground. The appartment was cosy and clean. We stayed for a week with my friend, we haven't saw Sascha that much but he is very nice. Thank you again!
Sascha was a fantastic host. He was very friendly, communicative, and helpful. I stayed with him and his roommate for one month. Sascha gave me a map with marks for groceries, restaurants, bars, etc. that are near the apartment. Sascha’s apartment was very clean, at all times. It was furnished with a lot of lovely details. I really felt like being at home. The bathroom, kitchen, and my private room were equipped with everything I needed. The apartment is located in Chinatown, a safe neighborhood, also at night. The Grand subway station is located on the same block. The B and D trains take you to Midtown Manhattan within 10 minutes, were a lot of NYC’s sightseeing is located. I highly recommend staying with Sascha in his great apartment.
