The Space

Share this wonderful quiet and light filled apartment with me and another AirBnB guest. Your private room has a queen sized bed., that can easily fit two people, and beautiful skylight. You'll be sharing one of the two clean, granite tiled bathrooms with me.

The apartment has a modern and relatively new finish with a spacious, comfortable living room that has its own large skylight and air conditioner. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, large fridge and of course lots of cooking ware that you can use. We also have wireless high speed internet. The apartment is located on the 5th floor but its a quick walk up.

Located on the border of Chinatown, Little Italy and the Lower East Side it (email hidden)ly neighborhood with lots of great restaurants, bars and shops from stylish to cheap. Directly next to the B/D Grand Street subway its easy commute to and from almost anywhere in the city as the B/D trains connect to all other major lines.

I have been hosting people for the past 3 years and have only made great experiences and am a big fan of AirBnB as a host but also as a frequent traveler.

Interaction with Guests

I'll be at the apartment to accommodate all your needs. I like cooking or doing activities with visitors as much as time permits. And of course I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

The Neighborhood

Its incredibly diverse, with people from all around the world. Of course there are lots of Chinese restaurants but there also are Italian, Mexican, Icelandic, cheap eats and and fancy elegant restaurants close by. I also love the fruit and vegetable stalls that I buy my fresh produce from. They're convenient and add a lot of color to the streetscape.

Getting around

The B & D trains are right on the block. The N, R and 6 trains are 10 minutes by foot. Theres a citi bike station just two minutes away and its really easy and fast to get to SoHo, the Lower East Side, the Financial and Little Italy.

  • It couldn't have been better. Sascha is a wonderful host and made our stay most comfortable. He had many insider tips and his art walk that we had the pleasure to take part of is a full recommendation. The place is absolutely perfect and the location could not have been better. Next time we visit New York we will definitely stay here again.

  • Staying with Sascha was a absolute dream. The apartment was just as advertised, clean and comfortable. I stayed here for 5 weeks and felt instantly at home. The location is great, with easy access to East Village, Soho and Williamsburg. Sascha is very knowledgeable about the city and generous with his time and advice. He is a super cool guy.
Also the view from the rooftop is amazing! I will be recommending Sascha's place to all my friends.

  • Sasha's home is lovely! We stayed for one week with my friend. It's very well located near the subway less 5 minutes walking. The neighbourhood is amazing. You can go to East village and Soho walking. The bedroom is a little bit small but we felt comfortable. The apartment is at the 5th floor and no elevator so get ready to make sport! Sasha and Maxine are kind and very pleasant to talk. We definitely recommend this place!

  • I would recommend staying at Sascha's place. Very clean, modern, cozy, and only a two minute walk to the subway, 15 minutes from downtown Time Square. Although we did not have the chance to meet, his girlfriend Rebeca was there to meet us on arrival.
I would def recommend this 5 star stay to anyone!
Many thanks to Sascha and Rebeca! Will def stay again on our next

  • Having our cab drop us off in the hustle and bustle of Chinatown was certainly not quite what we expected - BUT WE LOVED IT. Sascha's apartment was beautifully decked out. Clean and comfortable, and very close to delicious and cheap Chinese food. Sascha was not personally there but was very helpful and quick to respond. The flights of stairs was fine for us however might not be so suitable for people less mobile. Overall an amazing little space :)

  • Great stay. Sascha was super helpful and accommodating when I arrived very late on a Sunday night. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in NY.

  • Sascha was really friendly and great with the communication. His flatmate Max was really nice too and helpful. The place was clean, tidy and well kept. The room was a bit on the small size but large enough to accommodate us and our 4 big bags and 3 hand luggage bags. We even managed to get all our bags down the five flights in a coordinated effort and quicker than the time it took to catch a taxi!

  • Sascha is a great host, he introduced me to some his friends and we hanged out all together so I was able to discover some nice places in LES.
Concerning the flat, it is even cuter than how it looks in the pics.
It s very clean, tidy and decorated with an interior designer taste.
The neighborood are cool, it s really 5 minutes walk from spring street, prince street etc...really close to everything you want to see downtown.
I enjoyed so much being here that I m goin to stay 4 more days till monday

  • I had such a fantastic time in Sascha's apartment! I stayed there for a month and every day got a free workout going up the five flights of stairs. Towards the end I was very proud of myself for building the stamina to easily make it up. The pictures perfectly describe the space. His place is clean, both literally and design-wise. My room and the living room had skylights which definitely opened the space up. The air conditioning works perfectly and the view from the roof is stunning. You can see the Empire State Building, even though it is far away. The roof is beautiful for summer nights just sitting and enjoying the air. Sascha is quite friendly as well and sharing a bathroom with him is a breeze. He is organized, considerate, and communicates well.
