This luxurious lodge is located in Keweenaw Bay, Michigan, & accommodates 15 guests. Six bedrooms sleep two guests each. There is an assortment of beds including a California king, three queens, a double, and two twins. There are two queen sofa beds in the living area. The master bedroom has its own ensuite and a large, shared bathroom, which contains two sinks and a combination shower and bathtub. The suites offer views of either Keweenaw Bay and the Huron Mountains or the surrounding forest.

Revel in the simple, pure, and calm beauty of the Scandinavian and Native American décor inspired by the nature of the northern climate. Whether you are visiting our guest home to rent one room or you have rented the entire guest home for a family or business retreat, relax in the harmony and bliss of the natural environment.

Guest access
After a long day of hiking, snowmobiling, golfing, shopping, visiting the casino, or sightseeing around Houghton and Baraga Counties, relax and enjoy an afternoon indoors while having a sauna or Jacuzzi-hot tub experience. If you prefer the outdoors, relax in our outdoor swimming pool (summer only), breathe in the fresh Upper Peninsula air or simply relax on the deck, unwind, and read a good novel while admiring our glorious views of the sunrise and sunsets of the Keweenaw Bay. In the winter, get ready for some good old-fashioned Michigan fun with our favorite sledding hill, snowshoeing, and easy access to snowmobiling trails. Our retreat includes eight acres for you to stroll at your leisure. The kitchen, laundry, and living area with a fireplace are available for guests to use.

Neighborhood highlights

Baraga County surrounds most of Keweenaw Bay and Huron Bay - rugged scenic and recreational locations on Lake Superior. At the south end of the bay are the pleasant villages of L’Anse and Baraga (combined population of about 4,000) along with the L’Anse Indian Reservation of Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. LaRose Wellness Retreat is north of Baraga on the shores of Keweenaw Bay.

I am the owner of the LaRose Wellness Retreat. I wanted to share the glorious view of the Keweenaw Bay with the local community and provide lodging with all the amenities you could ask for. I want to make my home yours, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There are plenty of choices for relaxation whether it is simply to enjoy the fresh air, take a dip in the beautiful pool or rejuvenate your spirit with a sauna or hot tub experience.
