We're hosting again! Large/quiet queen size PRIVATE BEDROOM+BATH in a 3-bedroom apartment wtih access to our rooftop. Centrally located on quiet street, just a block from express subway, 2 blocks from Central Park, and near amazing restaurants.
This is a huge private bedroom with your own private bathroom and unlimited access to our private rooftop terrace. The room takes up the entire 2nd floor of our apartment for additional privacy. Perfect for traveling couples, tourists, families, and friends. We decided to host our much larger and more private bedroom for Airbnb guests! Reviews below are for another one of our bedrooms currently occupied in the same apartment downstairs. This posting is 3x the size with its own private bathroom.
We live in a spacious three bedroom duplex apartment with one room available for guests. We are three working professionals (1 female, 2 males) who've lived in NYC for 9+ years.
The bedroom for Airbnb guests is private, has A/C and heat, with queen size bed and ample closet space. A clean bathroom (with excellent water pressure) is all yours and not shared with anyone. Complimentary WiFi, coffee, and tea. Plus, enjoy our 100" projector screen (movie nights!) for your entertainment if you want to relax from the hustle & bustle of NYC. Shared kitchen and access to our own PRIVATE ROOFTOP that overlooks the UWS. We love to hangout or grill during the warmer seasons and welcome our guests to relax outdoors above the city. Laundromat is on the first floor and very convenient.
This is a quiet apartment built in 1886! We're the only residents in the building so there are no noisy neighbors above or below us. The apartment is on the third floor of a walk-up with hard wood floors, high ceilings, and fireplace. If you want to visit NYC and have the New York experience, this is the place to be!
We know great places for all budgets and tastes, both around the neighborhood and in the outer boroughs. We'll be happy to share tips and suggestions with you! Just ask! Also, we can get you free tickets for almost any museum in NYC (just let us know a few days in advance).
All our shared areas are accessible to our guests. Kitchen (including fridge, stove top, oven, and microwave), living room, rooftop, and our great knowledge of the city!cfmbypl
Interaction with Guests
We are working professionals and usually out of the apartment during working hours. If you prefer private space and your own time, just let us know and we'd be happy to accommodate. Otherwise, if you're looking to hang out in NYC and go to local spots, we'd love to show you around after work or on weekends.
We live in the Upper West Side Historic District! That means we're surrounded by charming streets and beautiful architecture. We're also right between proximity to Central Park and Riverside Park. So there are plenty of fun daytime activities, tons of local restaurants, and easy access to all tourist hot spots like Times Square, Madison Square Garden, and downtown Manhattan. The area is very safe and quiet at night and lively during the day.
We're in the heart of Upper West side! Apartment is 1 block away from subway lines 1-2-3 and 2 blocks from B-C which will connect you to the entire city! Times Square is only 1 express subway stop away, less than 3 minutes. All major crosstown/uptown/downtown buses stop a block from our place too.
For those that enjoy walking, we are just 2 blocks from Central Park, a short 5 minute walk to Natural History Museum & Lincoln Center, surrounded by delicious restaurants and cafes (we're right by Levain Bakery!), happening bars, and more!
Other Things to Note
Our building is a walk-up (no elevator). We are on the 3rd floor and always willing to help with your luggage if you need it.
We're flexible with check-in and check-out times. You're also welcome to come earlier and drop your luggage off.
This is a non-smoking home. Access to the apartment is granted to guests only. Courtesy, respect, and general cleanliness make us very happy! If you need to smoke, please step outside. Thank you!
We met just Mark and James and they were very welcoming. They also suggested where to go and eat. They are great! The room is spacious and comfy. The only thing is that the bathroom was a little bit dirty, but it was fine. The location is great, easy access to the subway and Central Park. Definitely recommend!
Hey, Laura. Sorry about the bathroom! Each roommate has a full-time job (and some have part-time school) so our schedule is pretty busy. We definitely do our best to keep everything squeaky clean, but sometimes things slip through :( Next time just let us know and dust, wipe, and mop wherever you need! Thanks for staying!
Staying in this place was awesome! Dave was a fantastic and knowledgable host. The rooftop was so cool to hang out on, especially because it smelled like levain bakery cookies. We spent a lot of time in Central Park, which was just blocks from the apartment. The bed was really comfy as well. This is definitely our new go to apartment when we are in the city!
Stayed with these guys for one night so I could attend a concert in NYC. It was my first time using AirBnB and overall it was a great experience thanks to them. The room is large and spacious, has its own bathroom, and sliding door onto a rooftop terrace, and a super ultra comfortable memory foam mattress. Highly recommend.
The guys were very communicative prior to and during our stay. They gave excellent directions and how to access the accommodation etc. Too easy. Great bed after many hard days of walking! Access to Metro and Central Park and other sites was excellent. Lovely area with restaurants and little shops..
My friend and I had a great stay here! We are so thankful they were able to open up their homes to us so last minute and accommodate us so well. Very friendly and flexible and I will definitely stay here again, as well as recommend to others :) Thanks again!
Crystal, Mark, David and James are great hosts!!
They were very hospitable, happy to help with advice and a hair dryer but also happy to give us our personal space.
The room was small and gets hot easily but the air conditioner is a welcomed relief and the hosts provided scented candles so that it didn't get too whiffy.
It's a shame they are discontinuing with Air BNB because we would cherish the opportunity to stay there again.
The location is great! Very convenient for various method of transportation. We loved the rooftop! Such beautiful views on a clear night. They have different kinds of plants and even a hammock! How cool is that? lol
The room is quite small but cozy. However, the living room is open to guests and hosts are very approachable and welcoming.
The neighborhood is very nice as well, many great restaurants :) and the bakery downstair is definitively worthy trying!
P.S The cat is very cute and he doesn't like closed door, so be sure to leave your doors open if possible, lol
We are 3 working professional who enjoy exploring the city, finding new eats, and sharing our favorite spots with friends/visitors. We're all in the tech industry, work during the day, and relax in the evening. If you're looking for social people, we'd be more than happy to show you around. Otherwise, we are also respectful of our guest's space and private time to unwind after a long day in NYC.
