Our home is an older style home that has been in the family since 1935. Renovations have been made but we wanted to try and keep as much of the original characteristics as possible. There are 4 rooms and 3 of them have there own lanai's . We live on the property but in a separate dwelling on the other side of the property . We like to have our guests have there privacy and feel as they are at home. However, if you are in need of something, I am just a phone call away and I will do my best to accommodate you
Kuulei room has a queen size bed ceiling/upright fan, and a private shower.
Guests have access to the shared living room, bathroom and kitchen. Everyone also has access to a nice private yard to have a picnic or to just enjoy the fresh air . There is a coin operated washer and a clothesline. We have street parking and carport parking (2 stalls). Carport parking is based on arrival of reservations.

My neighborhood is nice and relaxed. It's awesome to take a walk and enjoy the scenery and meet lots of different people .
There is public transit in Paia town that will take you all over Maui. Paia town is about a 10 minute walk. You will have access to the Post office , laundromat , MANA Foods (health food store), many different ethnic cuisines, art galleries, deli's, yoga classes, and of course the beach. Our house is the half way marker to Hana and to Haleakala. So there are lots to do!! I'm also on C-L, just look for Mike's House.
We enjoyed our stay at Mike's house. The master bedroom with a private covered patio was cozy, the bed was comfortable, and Rina was a great hostess. The house is conveniently located in walking distance to Paia, with cute restaurants and shops.
We had a wonderful stay here! Our room was very large/spacious, covered lanai with a mini fridge, bathroom as well! Rina was very responsive and ensured our stay was comfortable. All the rooms in the house are rentable and each room had it's own coded lock which was very nice. I will certainly visit here again! Paia is a 10 min walk away.
We enjoyed the 4 Days at Mike's House totally. Everything was clean, polite, easy and simply great. Thanks a lot.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and the house orderly, directions to the house were fantastic and Rina went out of her way to help us, including giving us blankets to watch the sunrise (which definitely came in handy as it was freezing up the top of the crater!).
Although Paia is further out from the main tourist attractions and beaches, it was actually a really great place to stay and relax. The restaurants were fantastic but not overpriced, the shops were good and best of all, you weren't getting hounded by people selling things every five minutes.
If you want a quiet, relaxing place to stay that is still walking distance to fun shops and restaurants then this is the place for you.
Aloha, Mike's house was a real home from home. It is clean, comfortable and very welcoming. I was amazed at how well equipped the kitchen was.Everything one could possibly want...and more. And with Mana Wholefoods just a 5 minute stroll away, it was "Mana in heaven". The large sitting room was very comfortable and great for chatting to other guests in the evening.
Rina is the most wonderful, caring hostess I have had the privilege to stay with. She called in every evening to make sure all her guests had everything they needed . She was genuinely concerned about how I was coping as I am not too good in hot sun. Always smiling, is very laid backhand ready with any information one needs. If I return to Piai, it would have to be Mike's House for me.
Mahola Rina, are the very best hostess one could ever wish for. Thank you so very much for making my holiday wonderful one!
Caring host who will make you feel home definately. The location and city Paia is great, nice other travellers in the huge house and a perfect spacious and cosy room. Recommended!!
Mike's House is clean and comfortable, with a well-equpped kitchen, a nice living room, and 4 individual guest rooms. The rooms each have their own combination locks. We enjoyed our stay here, including the private porch. The house is on a busy street and there are roosters in the neighborhood, but Rina provides earplugs and I didn't have any problem with the noise at all (I am a light sleeper). There's a washing machine and dryer downstairs, which came in handy. The house is in walking distance to downtown. Rina is very friendly and helpful. I was having problems with my phone charger and she lent me one for the duration of my stay.
The place is great. I highly recommend it.
Rina is a warm and nice person. I enjoyed my time in Mike's house!
My time in mike's house was great. Rina is a very nice and kind person and does everything to make you feel comfortable. She and the house has everything. She has a good sense for humor and we laughed a lot. Paia is a cool little town, the natural shop "mana" is close and superb. I met some nice guests too. The only thing is really that it's a little noisy in the night and morning. But you can not have everything. mahalo Rina!
My room was very close to Baldwin Avenue which is very busy. This is might be the only bad point about this location. But I would again book at Mike's House because I had a very enjoyable week there! I liked that four rooms used same big, very well-staffed kitchen where you can meet intresting people! Also room was nice. It has a good distance to Pai'a. Not directly in the city but with a short walk you're there!
Rina is a perfect host with lot of Aloha!
