1 bed self contained cabin set in rural mid Wales.
Large hot tub available to use at an additional cost of £25 per day for your own use..... please let us know prior to arrival if you would like the tub, as we have to empty, clean, refill, balance chemicals and get it up to temperature ready for you.
Full kitchen with everything you could possibly need... pots, pans, steamer, slow cooker etc. A large smart TV with Netflix installed for you to use.

The space
Hot tub can be booked for your sole use (£25 per night).... payable in cash on arrival please. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate guests in the hot tub that have any kind of fake tan applied, this is non negotiable.Please remember to bring robes to use at the hot tub, we only supply towels for the bathroom and we kindly ask you do not use these outside.
Please be aware that we are in a valley and internet can be hit and miss at times.
Mobile signal is really a no go, we recommend you use WiFi calling.
As we are in the country, as hard as we try, you may spot the odd cobweb in the beams and a little dust.... the joys of a log burner, all part of the character and country experience:-)
We are pretty sure you will find everything you will need to make your stay as comfortable as possible, however, if you need anything at all, please feel free to ask and we will do our best to assist you.
The cabin has a comfortable homely feel for you to relax and enjoy your breakaway, a good sized open plan kitchen and lounge area with a separate shower room and your bedroom.
Outside, by the hot tub, you can relax with a coffee or glass of wine.
As we all know, everything has gone up in price, especially electricity and oil, we ask that if you are going out, you make sure the lights/TV is off and the heating turned down. We do not allow guests to plug their electric cars in at our home, this is becoming more an issue in as much as we are unsure of the exact cost, so it’s easier to not offer it …. after all, we don’t supply guests with petrol or diesel for their cars. We are trying our best to keep our prices as affordable as possible and this can only be achieved with guests being mindful….. thank you.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets or offer early/late check in/out.

There is a log burner in the cabin, we can supply logs at £7 per basket should you wish to use it.

55 inch smart TV with Netflix installed for you to use…. PLEASE NOTE, we do not allow any fobs of any kind to be put into the TV, it will take our internet out on the whole of the property.

Other things to note
There is plenty to see and do in the local area, we are happy to point you in the right direction. We have a couple of local shops in a roughly eight mile radius with large supermarkets in Newtown and Machynlleth., roughly 12 and 16 miles away... please bear this in mind and bring essential items with you.We are more than happy to get in some groceries ready for you, or you can order an on line shop from Asda or Tesco and we will take delivery and un pack it ready for your arrival.
Check in from 1600 and check out at 1000. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer earlier/ later check in/out times as it takes a huge amount of time to empty and re fill the hot tub, we kindly ask for a prompt 10 am check out to assist us to do this.

We welcome your feed back and will where possible ask you about what is working and what needs to change.... we encourage you to offer your ideas on how we can better what we offer and as customers you are the best people to assist us with this, so don’t be shy :-)
We try to be environmentally friendly as possible, we ask you to recycle used plastic, glass and paper/card in the box’s at the rear of the lodge.
With ever increasing costs to electricity charges and heating oil, we kindly ask, if you are not using it, going out or going to bed, please turn off lighting and TV etc. If you are too warm, turn down the heating and not just open the doors and windows to cool down….. every bit helps us keep our overall running costs down, which enables us to keep our charges reasonable, everyone is then a winner.
With the Covid pandemic, we kindly ask that on your departure, you place all used bedding and towels in the black bags provided ready for laundry collection in an effort to keep everyone safe and well.
Please keep in mind that we are not a 5 star Hotel, however, we try our upmost to supply you with as much as possible for a reasonable price.
Logs for the wood burner are not supplied but are available if you wish to purchase some at £7 per basket. Unlike many properties, we do not charge a cleaning fee, please help us to continue to do this by leaving everything as you find it.
Please be aware we are surrounded by mountains so we have no mobile telephone signal. We do have internet but this at times can be spasmodic, especially in bad weather/ storms, so, if you want the hustle and bustle of every day city life and want to be on line, this may not be ideal for you. We have a number of animals, horses, dogs, sheep, goats, chickens and Turkeys and for these reasons we unfortunately can not accommodate dogs.
Finally.... this lodge is situated on the grounds of our home which we would love to share with you. This is our home and have as little interest in observing our guests, as we hope you have in observing us coming and going.You have plenty of privacy with the added support of us if you need it.... even if it’s just to show you how to use the dishwasher or your car won’t start :-)
Please read our feed back, very few (less than 10 )out of over 1200 from Airbandb guests have left less than 5 stars and we have guests that book from other sites too....you can’t please all the people all the time, but we do try :-) !!!!!!! Happy to answer any questions you may have.
