We welcome visitors with a sensitivity to the environment. We ask that you bring warm clothing (layers) as the 1st level of energy (email hidden) aware of the ambient temperatures inside Prom Close Cottage and outside .Open and close windows and doors to warm and cool. e.g. Often opening up windows/doors in the morning on a sunny winters day can warm the cottage greatly as long as you remember to close it down again by early afternoon preferably before  temperatures drop outside (2ish). Conversely on a hot summers day closing down the cottage by 10am in the morning and opening it up again at 4pm can keep temperatures cool inside
Make energy conservation a number one priority for your visit at Prom Close and for the future. Please note: After 27 years , Prom Close Cottage is now on mains power. We have been holiday renting houses for 20+ years and have an energy conservation ethic. We believe that to help the energy crisis the only way forward is for people to buy the most efficient appliances possible and Governments should assist this so everyone doesn't need to do the research.
We love places which are a little bit different or have high aesthetic value ..we couldn't do without the natural world, fresh air ,clean water , sunshine and home grown fresh food . We also couldn't do without our car but would like to .
We love slow travel and would rather take a train than drive. We like to get to know the 'locals ' and stay awhile but mostly we stay 'home' because we live is in a beautiful part of the world, lots to se and do and we love where we are .
Movies 1st Friday of the month at Fish Creek; community garden meets 10-12 every 2nd Friday ,Fish Creek. Community Farm up and coming...Fish Creek. The sea ,the mountains ,rolling green hills, the sun and rain , the surf and rock pools... cafes, galleries, wineries, and great people .
