Great location, a short walk from the beach and main strip with lots of restaurants and shops. Unit was clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped - we cooked multiple meals. Lisa was a responsive host. Note that there is no A/C which I imagine given the proximity to the beach is typically fine. Unfortunately we stayed while Carpinteria was experiencing record heat and the unit did get a bit warm in the late afternoon/early evening and took a while to cool down.

My husband and two teenagers visited the area for a vacation. We really enjoyed Carpinteria and the apartment was a great home base. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels. We cooked breakfast each day in the kitchen and had everything we needed. We all used the wifi. We used the coin laundry machines. That area was clean. There were two grocery stores in town, one of which was within walking distance. The close proximity to the beach was great. It was a leisurely 10 minute walk away. We enjoyed being within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops and stores. There was a veterinary hospital right next to the property, so if you were staying with small children, I would suggest putting the kids in the bedroom that overlooked the back of the property. My husband and I chose the bedroom looking down at the hospital and there were some dogs barking early in the morning. It wasn't awful, but our kids didn't hear anything on the back side of the apartment. I would recommend this apartment and town. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time staying at the car hide-away. The condo fit our needs perfectly and we will define use Lisa again if we go back to Carpinteria.
