About this listing
Renovated in September 2013, this little nook may be small but it has it all! A fully equipped Kitchen, a full bathroom, closet space and one of the most comfortable sofa beds you’ve ever slept on!
There is a small parlor at the entrance with a built in closet on your right for your clothes and luggage. Straight ahead is a sliding door that opens to the bathroom with a vanity, WC, comfortable shower that’s tall people friendly, and some shelves for your bathroom stuff.
To your left is the main room. The kitchen has tons of space for your food, a large work station and a smaller table perched above for bar space. Behind the bar is the sofa that pulls into a bed with very little effort. The TV has around 30 channels (mostly in French but sometimes English movies are not dubbed), the place also comes with wifi access.
The location is great! In the 16th Arrondissement, on the first floor (though we have double sided windows, you will still hear faint city noises) of a building across the street from a metro stop on Avenue Kléber, which links l’Arc de Triomphe with Trocadéro (Eiffel Tower). This chic neighborhood has everything you need (shops, restaurants, bars, bakeries, museums and monuments, parks… It’s not a party neighborhood, so things get pretty quiet fast in the evening.
I live in the building and work from home, so I’m flexible with your arrival time and responsive when there’s an issue.
About me: I’m Charlie; 31 years old and work in real estate. I’m Franco-American with a hint of Italian so I speak all three languages fairly well, and a little Spanish if you are patient. I grew up in the Parisian suburbs, then moved to the US for 12 years and have been back in Paris for around three years. I love sharing my love for this city with others!
Please take care of this place like it's your own. Ensure that the dishes are clean and trash taken out before you leave.
Check in is flexible since i live in the building and work from home. It will depend also on whether there is another guest leaving the day you arrive or arriving the day you leave.
Please be courteous of your neighbors :).
ENJOY THE CITY!!
Stayed at Charlie's place for 4 nights.
The location is great!! The metro stop "Boissiere" is not even 50 mtrs away from the building- just makes it very convenient. You can also walk to Eiffel or Arc de Triomphe. There is also a Carrefour nearby if you want to shop for some groceries.
The apartment is nice and cozy with pretty much everything that you need- a well-equipped kitchen, neat and clean bathroom, comfortable bed. The sofa bed is aptly described by Charlie when he says that it is one of the most comfortable beds that you've slept on. The studio however, is slightly small and may get in a little congested with sofa-bed open. It also needs a few minor things like curtain and wash-basin to be fixed.
Charlie is a nice host and was reachable on Whatsapp. Also to mention, his sister Nicole was very helpful.
The place is very good. Charlie's apartment is incredibly well located. The right side, about 300 meters has the Eiffel Tower, on the left, about 500 meters, you arrive at the Arc de Triomphe. A little further on you will come to champs elysee. Not to mention that three train lines (M1, M6 and M9) is just a few meters from the apartment. The neighborhood is quiet and apparently very safe. Carrefour has a few meters, two quarteiros sense Eiffel Tower.
There, you will find all the basic kitchen items and a great internet.
Charlie is a great host. I started talking to him in June, and he always answered quickly and very kindly. It made me very calm and I could enjoy a lot the city.
I stayed 7 nights in the apartment. You will sleep on a sofa bed. If you get some time, will have no problem, but over long periods, will get a little tiring. The shower is the only bad point. It heats up, but not strong.
But these two aspects are absolutely nothing compared to the cost benefit. I advise everyone to rent this apartment. When you return to Paris, I will rent with Charlie again! Was one of the best weeks of my life, thank you
The reservation was canceled 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Charlie was a very nice host. He even has a list in the appartament with useful information for the tourist, such as where to eat, buy, etc.The appartment is small but has everything you need. Great location!
Amazing location. You can literally walk to the Eiffel Tower or take the subway which is just a stop away. It is also close to the shopping district. There is a Carrefour nearby as well if you want to get some groceries.
The apartment is just nice. It can get a little tight when you open up the sofa bed so if you need more space just lift it back up. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The pillows can be a little too soft though. Charlie is a great host he was contactable by whatsapp which was useful for us.
Would highly recommend this apartment: it's in a great location, very easy to find directly across the road from the Boissierre metro station. The apartment is small but has everything you need, clean, comfortable bed and and plenty of storage space. It's a short walk to the Arc de Triomphe, Trocadero and Eiffel Tower, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, bakeries and a small supermarket close by. The host, Charlie was great, waited up late for us to arrive, gave us lots of information and recommendations (do try the bakery on the corner) and stored our bag the day we left which was very much appreciated.
This was our first time using Airbnb and it was very positive.

About the Host, Charlie
31 year old entrepreneur living in Paris for over 2 years. I, like many, love travelling. To me, it's beautiful architecture, landscapes and soaking up the culture of the places I visit that get me going. Being from three different cultures myself (US, France and Italy), I feel a need to understand and take part of of nation's rituals and tradition... especially its FOOD!!!
Traveling is to me an adventure that needs just a tiny bit of structure. Perhaps an old guide book, or a selection of neighborhoods, sites or restaurants will inspire me to get started, but in the end I always wander off to unplanned territory and find myself at my fullest potential loving every second of my stay.
