Each unit has a shower over tub, custom sink and custom bathroom fixtures. There is a roof top patio overlooking Belden Place and the buildings in the Financial District.
This large studio has a queen bed, full size sleeper sofa and full kitchen with dishwasher, garbage disposal and full size refrigerator. There is a walk in closet/utility area with washer and dryer. Dining table seats four and kitchen counter has bar area for two.

In order to complete your reservation once accepted through Airbnb, we will email the SF Holiday Rentals Vacation Rental Agreement and Accidental Damage Insurance form that must be SIGNED and returned via email along with a scan of your driver’s license or passport and credit card.
Upon receipt of the SIGNED documents, photo ID, and credit card we will charge the 15.4% tax and $39 insurance fee to the credit card provided on the agreements (unless included in the total submitted as a Special Offer) and send the entry code and instructions.
Honestly, after I stayed there for 5 weeks straight, I really thought about don't telling anyone how great this apartment is. Because this would make it much harder to get a future booking there. But: It is great! When you have to work in the Financial District the location can't be any better. If you would like to explore the city, the location is fantastic. Please give it a try and walk to the places you're willing to visit. It's worth it. Just try to avoid the Tenderloin at night. I even ran my first half marathon starting from the apartment at 5am, via the ferry building, up the coast to Fort Point at the Golden Gate Bridge and back. You will never forget seeing the city at the wake. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, programmable heater, tv, a few DVDs and a lot of useful things left by visitors before you. Gino and Mario own the small 3-story house and are working at the shoe shop at the basement. One of them will give you the keys and a warm welcome on your arrival. Annette will do all the bureaucracy stuff with you, without any hassle.
Regarding the noise from all the restaurants at the Belden Place: It's true, but not this bad. The Financial District of San Francisco itself is always buzzing, and louder than other parts of the city. There is a kind of white noise the whole day. You'll hear cable cars, sirens, cars everywhere. When you open the window of the apartment you will mostly recognize a lot of roof conditioners and their fans. You will, somehow, get used to it. Escape to the Stow Lake in the middle of the Golden Gate Park or to the large beach area at the west coast if it is too bad.
Best grocery options can be found at "Whole foods market" (organic, local, vegan). Best pizza at "Patxi's" (try the vegan Chicago style). Best full vegan menu at "Herbivore". Best vegan sandwiches at "Loving Hut". Also very good is "Triptych" (especially if you get our super-engaged waiter and ask for local beers). For full american 70s style go to "Lori's Diner" (great burgers 24/7). Alternative: "Super Duper Burger". For great food and a long beer menu go to "Boxing room". If you are looking for good bread, visit the Ferry Building. Any more questions? Just ask!
The apt was as advertised. Spacious, clean and in a great location. Annette and Coila were very helpful throughout the entire process.
A bit of a SNAFU retrieving the keys, but other than that, a great experience. Clean, comfortable, the noise wasn't too bad and its a great location. I'd definitely stay again.
Loved the apartment and location
The apartment is beautiful, clean and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. Plenty of space to relax after a long day seeing the city, and the rooftop deck was wonderful.
Communication leading up to our visit was fabulous. Check-in and check-out went smoothly.
A few minor issues to be prepared for: this unit overlooks an alley filled with restaurants, and it can be very noisy at night, especially when they are tearing down their patios for the evening--bring earplugs! Also, that is no illusion in the photo--there is a beam right up against one side of the bed, so it can be difficult to get in and out of it.
Those are minor issues though, and we would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was perfectly located in the Financial District, close to everything we wanted to see and experience on our visit to San Francisco. It was well equipped with a great kitchen, which we didn't really use as there are plenty of cafe's and restaurants right at the door. In fact Belden Place is a little, European restaurant precinct and you literally step outside the door and have a choice of Italian, Spanish (B44, recommended) and French. It was like being in Europe! Annette was extremely responsive and helpful and we were met by the owner, Mario, who made us feel very welcome. We felt very at home here and it was a perfect base for our 6-day stay in the city. We would love to return one day.
Mario's Penthouse was lovely and convenient and clean. It was remarkably quiet, considering it's close proximity to city and a hub of restaurants, which were tremendous, and it felt perfectly safe. I loved the spaciousness of the apartment and the sweet rooftop sitting area. The neighborhood is close to everything. There was an internet issue my first night (late on a Sunday) but it was promptly taken care of first thing in the morning. I did not meet my hosts, but I felt very confident that had a problem occurred they would have been on top of it. I needed supplies: detergent for washer and dishwasher and more TP, but that was a miniscule concern. All in all I highly recommend and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thankyou!
We were met on arrival by Gino, that very pleasant owner of the studio, who made things very simple for us during our stay, with a few pointers about the neighbourhood and the usual practices of the building (which doors to keep closed, trash collection, etc.).
The location of the studio is even better than we expected, with very easy access to transportation (cable car and Muni), and even restaurants located literally downstairs!
Advice for future visitors: our best decision was to buy the Muni pass from our first day, that includes all possible transportation in the city!

The apartment is clean neat and in a good location, lots of restaurants at the door.
The web listing for this place said it had a lift, it didn't, instead there was 3 flights of stairs which we had trouble negotiating so we only stayed 4 nights until we found someplace else.
The agent was very helpful when she realise our problem but was unsuccessful in finding us another place. we received a refund of the unused rent without any problem.
The Airbnb people were also very helpful so really the apartment would rate higher for most people that chose to stay.
