Description

The space

Spectacular 180 degree ocean view from your bedroom and living room, just steps away from miles of sandy and un-crowded beaches. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling and kayaking in the calm water, protected by the off shore reef. Historic Haleiwa town just minutes away offers dining, shopping and Galleries.

The apartment is very spacious, 860ft², and has everything you need for a home away from home, including flat-screen TV, WiFi, full kitchen amenities, plenty of towels, linens, coolers, beach chairs, fans, also a washer/dryer in the unit and an assigned covered parking spot.

The building has an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach, a natural salt water pool and hot tub, where you can cool off from sunbathing or warm up after a long snorkel trip. There is a barbecue area with two large gas grills, tables and chairs for a perfect ocean front dinner at sunset.

During the winter months you can see whales breech just beyond the two reefs in front of the condo and all year round turtles feed off the reef just several feet from the sand. Sometimes they come ashore to bask in the sun.

Our guests have access to the entire condo and building amenities, including the barbecue area, pool, and spa.

We do not live on the property but are available for tips and advice via phone or email. Our property manager will provide any onsite assistance that may be needed.

The north shore of Oahu offers an extraordinary landscape, ambience and charm, world-renowned surfing, shopping fun, unique local cuisine and tropical nature.

There is a bus stop one block from the condo providing easy access to Haleiwa and other North Shore favorites. Go to "TheBus" website and look up Route 76 and 88A. We also recommend renting bikes if you just want to explore the North Shore. Of course, renting a car will provide the most flexibility and access to all Oahu has to offer.

Aaaaaaamazing place to stay especially if your not a party person. Literally the killer view from the living room and one on the bedrooms. The host was very kind and responding promptly every time I send messages. BBQ is a must! We were able to see turtles on the beach while we enjoy BBQ. The kitchen has everything you need and so does bathrooms. I strongly recommend everyone to stay here!!!

This condo is amazing. We enjoyed our time in the condo as much as we enjoyed any of our excursions. My wife is already planning our next trip to Oahu and she wants to return to the same place if at all possible.

My husband and I came down from Alaska to defrost! We found the accommodations to be comfortable & the unit had everything we needed. Location is oceanfront. If you like the roar of the ocean to lull you to sleep, this is the place. Everyone in the complex was friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Mahlo to Dave & Anke.

We enjoyed a full week at this beautiful apartment/home, and highly recommend for a single family or two couples. The apartment is easy to drive to (rental car is required), on a good street with nice neighbors (and lots of friendly dogs and cats), and its location in the building is excellent. As you can see from their pictures, your view is incredible, and it's even better in person. The apartment is small, but well laid out and very comfortable for 4 adults (which was our group). Having a fully-functioning kitchen is always nice, and we cooked more than half our meals at "home." Beds were comfortable, as were common seating areas, and many convenient amenities (like soap and paper towels in kitchen, shampoo and towels in bathroom, etc.) were already laid out and provided. Beach access is right through the parking area of the building, and you'll have pool and spa access as well. Two nicely-maintained BBQ grills are located on the beach patio area, along with multiple tables for seating. We loved grilling just 20 feet away from the ocean! The beach right next to the building is beautiful, but predominantly coral reef in the water. Fortunately, there are areas within ~200 feet that have had all the coral and rocks removed for safe access into the ocean (if you look at this location on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps, you can clearly see where the water changes color and is just sand). The beaches here were never crowded, but also never desolate, frequented more by local families than tourists. That's largely the same as you head into Haleiwa, which is highly recommended (if not essential) for everything from the local market, to fantastic restaurants and the North Shore's famous shrimp trucks (like Giovanni's). Go beyond Haleiwa and you'll quickly find yourself near the Banzai pipeline, where some of the best surfers in the world paddle out. Access to the rest of the island is easy via roads and highways. All in all, we absolutely recommend this beautiful place, and may be coming back ourselves. Mahalo!

We had a fantastic time here. The condo was roomy, had a great view and all the beach gear was a big plus (snorkel gear and beach chairs were very appreciated. Coolers, too). Didn't have to interact much with Dave and Anke, but I appreciate that Anke contacted me to say we could stay beyond the 11 a.m. checkout time if we had a late flight.

The beach was wonderful and the view was awesome. Nice place to stay and be away from everything yet still be accessible to the North Shore.

The condo was just as described, laid out perfectly for two couples, everything you might want, pool, hot tub. If you need AC this might not be ideal, but multiple fans and an ocean breeze for sleeping with the surf crashing below. AT times other guest smoked below on the patio and that was bothersome. The biggest complaint was the mattress quality in the front room, I thought it was just softer then we find comfortable but when we stripped the bed we discovered it was out of whack, like seemed pushed over. My back ached often as did my husbands. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms utilitarian, the complex is older and not so inviting from the curb. The parking space assigned was very difficult to use, but street parking was fine. We saw multiple turtles, including one on the beach. The sand is difficult to wak, but the bike path across the way goes into Haleawia and a wonderful local bakery is a good walk. A very private, quiet experience. We had one issue on length of stay but owners worked very hard to resolve amicably. The building had a slight musty smell and according to postings, some testing is on going. We did not buy bottled water but in hindsight plan on doing so. All in all a very pleasant stay in a very local north shore community with great access to several hikes, Haleawi, Sunset Beach area, and not a bad drive into Honolulua, if one so desires. The unit has beach toys, mask, fins, ogles, umbrellas, chairs etc. the washer, dryer is great. MAkena point is a must do to observe Monk seals after a good walk in. The pill boxes that begin at Sunset Elementary are breathtaking. Costco is about 25 minutes in very busy town near Scofield Barracks, the busiest Costco I have ever seen. The host clearly intend to make guests happy.

Dave grew up up on the North Shore of Oahu, which was like a dream come true but he didn't realize it until he moved to the mainland. Anke grew up in Germany and has called San Francisco her home for the past 20+ years. We invite you to come and share our piece of paradise in the sleepy town of Waialua.
