Pros: We were visiting family nearby so the location was convenient (plus close to great taco trucks!) Also, the house has a beautiful yard, two bathrooms, and allows pets. Cons: The place felt a bit stuffy but it was pretty hot outside, and older homes are not best at handling heat. Luckily they had a descent air conditioner. Bottom line: I wouldn't stay there again. The hosts are super nice, and the house and neighborhood are fine. I go to LA VERY frequently and I Airbnb all the time, so in comparison to all the other places I've stayed at, I just don't think this house was a great value. It met our needs though.

All in all a good stay. My only complaint is I wish I knew ahead of time the large bedrooms window opened up to the stairs/front door of another home so I didn't feel as though I had much privacy in that aspect. The kitchen is narrow but stocked with all the cookware we needed. I loved the outside area. The house is surrounded with walls of greenery which is amazing. There was a hammock and a love swing so I enjoyed my time spent outside. We had an all around good stay. Nice neighborhood with lots of stores and shops in the surrounding area.

We loved the little place once we found the right location. We checked in rather late in the evening but Leslie had given us the lockbox code. Unfortunately, the code was the wrong one so we found ourselves in a much inferior place. In any event, the following day, she spoke with my husband and understood the mistake (I was by then in a 7 hour surgery) and told us she would comp that night. Again, we very glad that it was only a mistake and once we were installed in the main house, it was indeed as per the description. Very comfortable king tempurpedic bed, large place and the hammock and swing were perfect for someone who simply needed to recuperate from surgery. The fenced yard was ideal for our puppy too. Although not the greatest neighborhood in LA, it was very accessible to where we had to go and do. Lots of clean towels, wash clothes and very comfortable overall.

John & Lindsay's home was great and accurate to their posting. Coming home to a serene and private garden front yard was nice after being out in the big city. The neighborhood and location is awesome - Very close to other neighborhoods and attrractions! The home is nestled at the end of a quiet street which adds to the privacy. We were most thankful for the comfy sectional, AC for the hot days, and fast cable/tv for downtime waiting. Make sure to drink your coffee/tea on the hammock outside in the morning :) Lindsay was prompt with questions and we'd recommend this place to others.

We were 4 to stay at John's house for a week. Before coming, John and Lindsay answered quite fast to any of our requests. We have spent a wondeful week at John's. The house is big enough for 4 adults. There is a nice front garden though we did not spent so much time enjoying it, because we were mostly out. The house is in a dead end street, and the neighborhood was very calm. We had to take the car everytime we needed to go out, LA is a very large city with a lot of traffic. Watch out for some nails in the planks in the 1st bedroom and otherwise the house is pretty great. The one thing we miss is a frying pan : making crêpes in a saucepan was quite challenging ! The wifi was really good but not well received in the 2nd bedroom. The living room was large and we had loved spending time there in the end of the day together. The laundry room is an added value, shared with the appartment above. Very useful. We definitely recommand this house !
