  • My girlfriends and I stayed in Christine's cottage for a long weekend and absolutely loved it. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities we could have needed. We loved the natural light that filled all the rooms. We would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks again, Christine! :)

  • Absolutely beautiful home. Clean. Pleasant. My friends and I had a most wonderful time. We want to travel again. And that is in part to how wonderful everything went with this house.

It would also work great for any family vacation. Very near the water. Room for everyone.

  • The house was charming! We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Scotch Cottage! Christine was available and responsive to our needs. My only sticking point is that there are no hand rails to help get up the either the front or back steps into the house, if you need that kind of assistance. I happened to be traveling with people who don't handle stairs well and could have used them. I should have asked when I saw the photos. There is however, a handrail for the stairs inside.

  • We rented Old Scotch Cottage for my daughter's graduation from Hope College - weekend.

The cottage is very charming, comfortable and has all the necessary items that you would have in your own home to just kick back and relax. The kitchen is fabulous. The location was perfect, about 3 miles from downtown Holland and very close to the lake and beach.

I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the Holland area.

  • A group of us went to Old Scotch for a winter adventure over the weekend, and this place was great! It's located very close to the lake, and we enjoyed the short walk to the red lighthouse. The area is very picturesque, and there's a grocery/liquor/Target nearby for everything you need. The house is lovely, incredibly charming. We took advantage of the large, well-stocked kitchen and cooked several meals. There's a record player, a bluetooth speaker, and apple TV. My friends even loved the magazines they had at the house! Thank you for a lovely weekend!

  • I went with ten others to this spot in the middle of the polar vortex for a girls' weekend, and we couldn't be more pleased! The place is recently updated and beautiful - perfect for cooking and feeding large groups, then sitting around and chatting and playing games. We all slept comfortably, and found the distance from the lake to be a short walk, and drive to town to be very close. I'm going to be recommending to family and friends, and hopefully going back!
