About this listing
A well furnished and organized ground floor small flat located in a quiet zone right next to the commercial and pedestrian side of town, ideal for who's coming to town by train or airplane
Nice cozy ground floor apartment, 45 square meters with a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/living room with a one-and-a-half sofa bed and a small court.
It is located very close to central train station (about 300m) and airport (1,5km), in an alley near Corso Italia, the pedestrian and commercial side of town. Close-by you will find Keith Haring's magnificent mural "Tuttomondo" on one side of Sant'Antonio Abate Church.
Pisa is a very small town, and everything is at foot range: shops, bars, pubs, a supermarket, and then of course historical buildings and plazas.. it only takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the Tower.
Being in a central area, the house rests inside a "limited traffic zone" (ZTL, Zona a Traffico Limitato): there is plenty of (payable) car parking around, although it is possible to purchase a daily permit at some offices nearby. Anyways, the house is only 50m away from a non-limited traffic route.
Feel free to ask for any information anytime! I will gladly enlighten you on which are the best pubs and restaurants to enjoy Pisan nightlife as we locals do. I can also advice you on hiking or historical sites around the region.
Sheets and towels are provided.
Interaction with Guests
I will be most happy to share my knowledge of the city, especially in regards to pubs and restaurants around town; after all, Italy is all about food culture, isn't it? Just Ask!
Being surrounded by very small alleys, and resting in a Limited Traffic Zone, there is virtually no traffic in the very proximity of the house. Walking is encouraged!
The supermarket is just 200m away, open 7:30 - 20:30.
If you wish to go to the seaside (Marina di Vecchiano, Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia), or medieval hamlets (Vicopisano, Lari) there's the central bus station close by. If you wish to go to Lucca, Livorno, Firenze, Cinque Terre or anywhere else there's the train station.
I'm an experienced backpacker, and very open minded. I myself have been hosted many times by locals during my journeys, I definitely know what it means, and what a great opportunity it can be.
Aside from traveling I also happen to be a medical doctor.
