About this listing
Situated above the medievel arches at the Place aux Herbes is our newly renovated studio with a small french balcony. There you find everything you need to enjoy the beauty of a small town in southern France as well as the wonderful surroundings and a wide range of activities.
Anna Berge met us at a nearby cafe, showed us a good parking area and then brought us to the flat. As newcomers in Uzes, this was very helpful. We had everything we needed ( and expected) , so we did not need to contact Anna again, although she made it clear that she was available. Finding things like milk, coffee , tea and a bottle of wine in the kitchen made us feel even more welcome, thank you Anna for being a very pleasant hostess !
We stayed 4 days at Anna's wonderful apartment. We didn't meet Anna in person, but she arranged everything very smoothly and even left some water, milk and a bottle of wine for us in the fridge. We really appreciated that! We found everything we needed in the apartment and enjoyed all the lovely details there. The house is very well situated - right in the city center of Uzès. We especially liked being so close to the Saturday market. It was great fun to watch the sceneries from our balcony. There are a lot of nice restaurants, bakeries and bars right next to the apartment. Great Airbnb experience!
This was the best accommodations we had on our trip through Barcelona and France. Thoughtful items were there for us to use (saran wrap little baggies sugar cubes etc.) Apartment was comfortable and well located near several wonderful bakeries and coffee shops right on the main square of Uzes. Every thing you needed was within walking (website hidden) day was an amazing sight right below us in the square Sat. being the main day.We did discover you can park your car free in the pay lot just across the street from 6pm to 8 am which was nice after that it is .50 euro per hour which is quite reasonable. There are also four restaurants in the square and one just off the square that are all very good and reasonably priced. We stayed there for 18 days and if we were to return to the area this would be our first choice.

Anna is a very thoughtful and generous host and has an interesting and unique second-story apartment in the hub of Uzès. I loved Saturday market, or walking downstairs to a cafe, or just people watching from above. I am a solo traveler and felt the flat suited my taste just right!
Anna met us at the bus and helped us with our bags to her studio about 3 minutes walk away. She was always helpful when we communicated and finding out about the bus schedule and where to find things locally. Her apartment is beautiful with a balcony which looks over the Place aux Herbes where the very good local market is held twice a week. Be prepared to be woken early on these mornings as the stall holders start early but we didn't mind as had an excellent view of all the activity. We absolutely loved staying here and are sorry that our schedule didn't allow us to stay for longer.
About the Host, Anna
For the past twenty years me and my daughter have spent all our holidays in the surroundings of Uzès which says something about how much I enjoy this area of southern France. When I'm not in Uzès I live in Stockholm where I work as a university teacher. I would love to welcome you to one of the most beautiful small towns of France.
