Situated above the medievel arches at the Place aux Herbes is our newly renovated studio with a small french balcony. There you find everything you need to enjoy the beauty of a small town in southern France as well as the wonderful surroundings and a wide range of activities.
Anna is a very thoughtful and generous host and has an interesting and unique second-story apartment in the hub of Uzès. I loved Saturday market, or walking downstairs to a cafe, or just people watching from above. I am a solo traveler and felt the flat suited my taste just right!
Anna met us at the bus and helped us with our bags to her studio about 3 minutes walk away. She was always helpful when we communicated and finding out about the bus schedule and where to find things locally. Her apartment is beautiful with a balcony which looks over the Place aux Herbes where the very good local market is held twice a week. Be prepared to be woken early on these mornings as the stall holders start early but we didn't mind as had an excellent view of all the activity. We absolutely loved staying here and are sorry that our schedule didn't allow us to stay for longer.
We had a truly fantastic stay at this wonderful apartment overlooking the Place aux Herbes in the very heart of Uzes. The apartment is well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Anna is quick and efficient with communication and made us feel extremely welcome. Uzes really is a charming town with lovely boutique shops and excellent places to eat. It is a great base for cycling to the Pont du Guard or visiting the towns of Avignon/Nimes/Arles and we are already planning our next trip back!
We loved staying in this studio apartment, is has lots of character and everything you need for a great experience. The view of the main square from the little balcony is probably one of the best you can get.
With the french doors open you get all the atmosphere of the square without leaving the comfort of the apartment. Communication with Anna was great and we were met and given a warm welcome by her friend Matthea. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks,
Tim and Deb
We had a wonderful time in your beautiful town of Uzes, experiencing the French culture, food and wine. We took the opportunity to spend time in Avignon and the amazing Pont du Gard.Local people were generally friendly and helpful. The markets were fabulous, the history amazing .
My experience staying at Anna's studio on the Place aux Herbes was better than I could have imagined. From the very beginning, communicating with her was effortless, and she helped me, a single woman traveling solo, navigate time tables and different modes of transport to arrive safely in Uzes. She even met me at the bus stop! The flat is beautiful and old-world charming; large French doors open to the bustling, lively plaza, but at night the flat buttons up tight and feels private and cozy. At the very heart of the city, surrounded by excellent cafes and bakeries, it is perfectly appointed with everything one needs for a restful, unhurried holiday in this small city. Uzes is magical. I spent three days wandering the streets, browsing the Sunday antiques market, exploring shops, eating ice cream—I even got to watch the Bastille Day fireworks with the locals. There is a public pool right at the edge of town. Even without a car, I was very content taking it all in on foot. I offer the highest possible recommendation for Anna and her studio flat, and for the beautiful town of Uzes.
For the past twenty years me and my daughter have spent all our holidays in the surroundings of Uzès which says something about how much I enjoy this area of southern France. When I'm not in Uzès I live in Stockholm where I work as a university teacher. I would love to welcome you to one of the most beautiful small towns of France.
