About this listing
Situated above the medievel arches at the Place aux Herbes is our newly renovated studio with a small french balcony. There you find everything you need to enjoy the beauty of a small town in southern France as well as the wonderful surroundings and a wide range of activities.
If you want to be in the heart of Uzes, this is the place for you. This charming little apartment overlooks the central square in town, boasting many restaurants, music, a fountain, a twice-weekly market etc... . Many restaurants, bakeries, shops and a laundromat are in the immediate vicinity. Pay parking is a 2 minute walk away, but after the first day I easily found free parking spaces on the 'outskirts' of town, a 5-10 minute walk away.
Centrally located as it is, the apartment is exposed to the sounds emanating from the square below well into the evening and early in the morning. I found this to be manageable (especially as Anna kindly provided earplugs!), and the price to be paid for being in such a fantastic location. Great people watching from the little balcony!
The children very much enjoyed the swimming holes at Collias (15 minute drive away) that Anna recommended, as well as the Chauvet prehistoric cave (a very easy day trip).
Thank you Anna for a wonderful stay!
Anna is a charming hostess and was very helpful right from the time of the original booking. It was great that she met us at the bus stop and introduced us to her lovely apartment just a short walk away. And what a fantastic location it was. Right in the middle of all the action in Uzes. We loved the district and all the markets right at our doorstep. The apartment was exactly as described and Anna made sure we had a lovely welcome.
The apartment exceeded our expectations. Anna was a very accommodating host, helping with all our requests about shops, sights and even laundry. Apartment was right on the Place aux Herbs amid the cafes and Saturday market.
Anna Berge met us at a nearby cafe, showed us a good parking area and then brought us to the flat. As newcomers in Uzes, this was very helpful. We had everything we needed ( and expected) , so we did not need to contact Anna again, although she made it clear that she was available. Finding things like milk, coffee , tea and a bottle of wine in the kitchen made us feel even more welcome, thank you Anna for being a very pleasant hostess !
We stayed 4 days at Anna's wonderful apartment. We didn't meet Anna in person, but she arranged everything very smoothly and even left some water, milk and a bottle of wine for us in the fridge. We really appreciated that! We found everything we needed in the apartment and enjoyed all the lovely details there. The house is very well situated - right in the city center of Uzès. We especially liked being so close to the Saturday market. It was great fun to watch the sceneries from our balcony. There are a lot of nice restaurants, bakeries and bars right next to the apartment. Great Airbnb experience!
This was the best accommodations we had on our trip through Barcelona and France. Thoughtful items were there for us to use (saran wrap little baggies sugar cubes etc.) Apartment was comfortable and well located near several wonderful bakeries and coffee shops right on the main square of Uzes. Every thing you needed was within walking (website hidden) day was an amazing sight right below us in the square Sat. being the main day.We did discover you can park your car free in the pay lot just across the street from 6pm to 8 am which was nice after that it is .50 euro per hour which is quite reasonable. There are also four restaurants in the square and one just off the square that are all very good and reasonably priced. We stayed there for 18 days and if we were to return to the area this would be our first choice.

About the Host, Anna
For the past twenty years me and my daughter have spent all our holidays in the surroundings of Uzès which says something about how much I enjoy this area of southern France. When I'm not in Uzès I live in Stockholm where I work as a university teacher. I would love to welcome you to one of the most beautiful small towns of France.
