Wonderful, quiet house to stay in and actually get some sleep. Comfortable bed, clean, roomy remodeled private bathroom with luxurious shower. Did not get to take advantage of the proximity to downtown London.
Wendy was an ideal host, and the cute cottage was exactly as described. I spent some very pleasant evenings sitting on the front porch enjoying the peace and quiet. London's Blackfriars is a unique neighbourhood: lots of character and conveniently located centrally. A special thanks to the house dog Darcy who made me feel welcome in his own canine way.
I had a wonderful stay at Wendy's cottage. Her house is beautiful and well maintained. It's perfectly located on a quiet street . Wendy is wonderful host. I highly recommend this accommodation.
I had a lovely stay at Wendy's cottage. Her house is beautiful and well maintained. It's perfectly located on a quiet street just steps from a gorgeous walk along the river, and a 10min walk from downtown via a historic pedestrian bridge. Wendy is a delightful and gracious host and I enjoyed the pleasure of her company. I highly recommend this accommodation.
This was our first AirBnB experience and it could not have been better. It was everything we expected and more. We really enjoyed meeting Wendy and Dexter and appreciated their hospitality very much. Our schedule was packed so we were not at the house much so we hope to return, next time with more time to enjoy the Blackfriars neighborhood and Wendy's great front porch.
Wendy was very welcoming to her beautiful home. We found it charming and very clean. We fell in love with her dog, Dexter, who added to the good feel of our stay. We enjoyed walking along the path beside the river that was close by and seeing the interesting well-kept older homes in the neighbourhood. We would definitely stay there again.
I would give Wendy's place six stars if I could. Wonderful host and great place. Thanks!
About the Host, Wendy
I am a mom of two grown children and a cute, friendly little non-shedding dog named Dexter. The kids have left the nest and I now have a spare private room in my cozy Ontario cottage close to downtown London, the Thames River, great bike/hiking paths and not far from the University of Western Ontario. I love to travel as well and have picked up some hospitality ideas along the way!
