  • What a great place! The cabin is super sweet and cozy. Pat was very quick to reply to all our questions, and when we arrived, the fire was going and the cabin was clean. It's surrounded by beautiful trails and a really amazing walk to the beach. I give it five stars. Thank you Pat for a fabulous experience.

  • The Cabin was even quainter than the pictures conveyed. We arrived after dark on a chilly, drizzly November evening. We were greeted by a lantern at the road, and a lighted path of large ferns leading to the cabin. The space was readied for us, with a welcoming note and a fire already going in the wood stove.

The small TV had a tiny, but booming sound system. It was like being in our own mini theater. The bed in the loft was warm and comfortable.

We met Pat only briefly, but he was charming and accommodating.

We hiked the trails behind the cabin down to the rocky shore. It was beautiful and serene, with no one else around.

The only disappointment was that most everything was closed due to it being off season. We couldn't find a restaurant open on the Monday we arrived, but bought groceries and rented movies at the local supermarket. We also had trouble finding a breakfast place that was open the next morning. We ended up at the golf course and country club restaurant. The meal was delicious, and the service was friendly. But for couples wanting to get away from it all, I doubt this would matter.

It's important to note that you will need a passport, since Point Roberts is an exclave. But this is part of the adventure. Vancouver is close enough to make a great day trip.

I look forward to returning in the Summer and taking full advantage of the beach and the local restaurants and shops.

  • What a wonderful, romantic little spot. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved this gem in Point Roberts. The downstairs fireplace keeps things super cozy, and the upstairs bedroom is really sweet with its skylights and private deck. The direct access to trails behind the cabin is a really convenient perk as well. The Pier restaurant was great, and we really enjoyed beach combing in the stormy weather on the south west beach. There was even surfers out! Great host as well, highly recommend!

  • We had a wonderful week-long getaway at this charming little cabin in the woods. It is literally surrounded by enormous ferns, trees and bushes and is very quiet. We enjoyed walks on the trails behind the house leading to the most incredibly beautiful views of the bay, from Vancouver to the gulf islands. We loved the peacefulness of Point Roberts, with just a few restaurants and one good grocery store. A highlight was a takeaway whole crab dinner from South Beach Restaurant. Pat's cabin is extremely well outfitted, with a comfortable, cozy bed. We stayed warm thanks to the gas fireplace and plenty of blankets and a thick comforter, even though we had a couple of rainy days. Thanks, Pat, for providing such a magical, special hideaway in the forest. It was just perfect for us!

  • Pat was very sweet and accommodating. The cabin is a wee bit smaller than I excpected but large enough for my purposes. The bedroom is really lovely and the fireplace downstairs was fantastic.

  • What a wonderful cabin! We particularly enjoyed the direct access to the Lily point trails. We were lucky enough to see 6 eagles at once soaring over lily point. It was truly amazing! I definitely recommend it for a weekend away.

  • We stayed with Pat Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. One day was rainy and one day was sunny. We had a wonderful time both days. On the rainy day we spent a good deal of time before the fire and watched a movie or two. The sunny day we went to the point and my son-in-law ran with their dog over the trail complex. The kitchen is small but functional and I was able to cook very well for the four of us.

We really enjoyed your cabin Pat, thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, and would recommend it to anyone. It is a very good value for the dollar.

  • Lovely cabin with GORGEOUS trails around Pt. Roberts. Quiet with a bed upstairs and a pull-out couch downstairs. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and the location couldn't be more relaxing.

I am a big believer in the concept of 'sacred spaces'. The 'big' cottage is a good example of that. I believe that the space we inhabit has a huge effect on our 'present' and consequently our 'future'. I just finished work on another cottage at Lily Point that further refines the concept of using space to create intimacy and well being.
