We pulled up only to see the beautiful cabin lit up between the trees and the fire going! It was fairy tale like and the inside immaculate. Everything had its place and we felt at home right away. The next morning we explored the town. Due to going in the winter season everything was sleepy and quiet, but we didn't mind. We hiked the trails and took lots of pictures, but no picture could do the scenery around us justice. Just beautiful. My girlfriend and I would recommend the Reef for good comfort food, a cold one, and friendly people of the community. We look forward to coming back in the summer. We enjoyed our stay at the gingerbread cabin and we thank you PatC for the opportunity to explore your quaint town and humble home!
Listing was fairly accurate, I wasn't quite expecting how cozy the space was but that was fine too. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Location was good, hiking down to the secluded beach was a good experience. Overall good experience.
This was our first experience in point Roberts and It was a lovely town. The cottage is secluded and VERY quiet. Great space for two people, no more. I do recommend if you come in the winter to turn the fireplace on automatic thermostat. We turned it off the first night because it was nice and warm upstairs in the bedroom but when we woke up it was really cold! Haha! Thank you pat for letting us stay :)
We had a wonderful stay at the Gingerbread Cottage! Pat was not in the area, but had an on-site host if needed. The cottage was well equipped and we had everything we needed there. Would definitely go back and stay there again. Point Roberts is a hidden gem of a town :)
Gingerbread cottage was as the name suggests, pretty cute. I never use that word but it's appropriate here. The cottage says it can hold 4 guests but it has one bed. We brought a blow up bed and it tucked in nicely between the end of the bed and the wall. The gas fireplace was cozy and the kitchen has a small fridge, a microwave and a couple burners. Enough to get you through the weekend. I'd recommend this place. It's great for playing cards and catching up with friends.
The Gingerbread Cottage was the perfect get away! So cozy - a tiny little cottage - perfect for a romantic get away for two.
The directions to get there were very helpful. Do read them! You need all the directions provided to find the place. I appreciated Pat's tips on where to go for different needs - groceries, liquor, coffee, etc. They were great recommendations.
Thanks a lot Pat! Our only issue was that we did not stay long enough :) We will be back!
Oh and the walk to the beach (unless we took the wrong one...) was a good sized walk, maybe 20-30 minutes. So where good shoes :)

I am a big believer in the concept of 'sacred spaces'. The 'big' cottage is a good example of that. I believe that the space we inhabit has a huge effect on our 'present' and consequently our 'future'.
I just finished work on another cottage at Lily Point that further refines the concept of using space to create intimacy and well being.
