The sunsets, the location, the beachy vibe......My corner lot property has an expansive view of the western sky.......
Abbot Kinney is a short drive and is on fire with shops and eateries. The Marina Marketplace is a short walk; with a dine-in theater and great shops and eateries.....
I love having guests....An innkeeper by trade....this place is comfortable and inviting, and the sunsets are spectacular.
Bus lines everywhere, to everywhere. Not needed though, as you can walk to almost everything.....
Parking is free and plentiful. No need to move your car for street cleaning! This is important because the fines can be pricey in Los Angeles......
Other Things to Note
The Suite is a serene place to come back to after a full day of activities....Safe to walk around, with a real neighborhood vibe.
Temperatures in the Marina area of Los Angeles are pretty consistently low 60's at night and mid to high 70's in the day. It is a desert climate. As a result, the suite does not have A/C, but there are plenty of fans available if you need them.
Garbage bins are on the other side of the garage. Blue for recycling and black for trash.
Please be sure to close the gate when you come and go.
Airbnb is an interesting hybrid. It's not a hotel and it's not a bed and breakfast. I keep my room rate low but I provide: Tea, cocoa, dry snacks, sweeteners, paper plates and plastic utensils. Sometimes guests will leave behind coffee or beverages - Please use those items at your own discretion.
Please read the guest book when you arrive. It has useful information for your stay.
Upon arrival and departure, please unload all luggage on the Hager Avenue side of my house where the suite is located.
Please be mindful and respectful of the neighbors....
When possible (which is usually), only park in front and on the side of my house.
Please use only the closet to hang things.
Please keep the outside gate closed at all times and be sure it is latched when you leave.
No Smoking of any kind. No drugs or illegal activities.
Lost keys require re-keying of suite - for the protection of my guests, I must charge $75.00 for this service.
For Pet Owners: Host must be informed of a pet companion prior to booking. An additional pet cleaning fee of $20 is added to the bill for a deeper cleaning; which is required for the next guest.
I love pets! I have dogs myself. They must have their rabies shots and be current with flea meds. I ask that they be kept off the furniture and taken with you when you are gone. Pets are not to be left in the suite unattended.
Animals can become frightened in unfamiliar surroundings....
While in California, please be careful about leaving pets in cars in the daytime. Outside breezes can be deceptive, the sun in Los Angeles is very hot, even in the wintertime.
I reserve the right to enter the suite during your stay, but only if necessary.
Please communicate with me if you have any questions or concerns DURING your stay!
It's a really nice place to stay. Lesley provided helpful info about arrival and living. The location is near airport and Marina Del Rey is quiet nice and peace. the bed is so comfort!
Great location. Host made herself available but was never intrusive. Appreciated the hospitality and privacy.
Clean & perfect location
The suite is really situated in a perfect location - it is only minutes away from the beach, CVS, and a Pavilions (all useful and necessary places). I traveled with my partner and we were able to visit Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, and Beverly in a short amount of time (which is a huge plus considering how bad traffic can get)
As for the suite itself, it is lushly decorated without feeling too stiff. It's a very cozy size and perfect for short stays; despite its small size, I had everything I needed (shampoo, utensils, plates, cups, napkins, refrigerator etc). The bathroom itself is very nice and clean too (what a gorgeous tiled shower!)
Lesley was very accommodating and prompt in her responses. I can honestly say I was perfectly happy with my stay and I would love to visit again!
The room was super clean and the bed was really comfy! We enjoyed the location near many attractions. Host was very kind! Hope to stay with you during our next visit!
Lesley came and greeted us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know. It was a really smooth process. There were always parking spots available on the street, which was great that we never had to worry about it. The suite is just a 5-minute drive to the ocean and boardwalk, and a 10-minute drive to Santa Monica's Main St. The place looks exactly like the photos. Everything was great! Thanks Lesley!
This is a stylish attractive suite in an ideal location. It's in a quiet neighborhood with street parking available. The bed is very comfortable. Communication is clear. Lesley is a fine host.
Hello Dear Guest!
I am a licensed clinical social worker and area realtor. I am also degreed in hotel and restaurant management. Being an innkeeper comes naturally to me. Born and raised on the east coast, I have lived out here for over 25 years..I still have family there, so I go back often. In my heart, I have two places I call home.
My travels have taken me to many interesting places, where I've met a great variety of people and experienced the uniqueness of their cultures. As a therapist, I love to meet new people and welcome them to my area.
I know California well and am very established in Los Angeles. I also appreciate the hesitations and considerations of the traveller, which is why my knowledge as a local host is so useful. I am always available for suggestions or problem solving, and unlike a hotel, it's nice to know that someone has their eye out for you when you're away from home.
