The Space

We are situated 15 km from Anduze in the foothills of the Cevennes mountains. Our peaceful tiny 17th century Cevenol hamlet with 3 individual houses is located next to forest and vineyards. Great central location from which to explore the beautiful Provence and Languedoc region in the south of France.
Outside there is a small garden of 100 m2. No passing traffic.Great walks on your doorstep through Garrigues and Wines.
If you are looking for peace and quiet in an unspoilt environment with tremendous countryside, then this is definitely the place!

2 living rooms, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big country kitchen, sleeps 3 double beds and 4 singl bed. One little for child.

Our house is a former silkworm farm which is, even today, carefully restoring and renovating. We ask our guests not to go in the restorated and in works aera. Forbidden to go because might be dangerous for child.

On the ground floor - large fitted kitchen with eating area, living room with fireplace and sitting area with wooden stove,
First floor ; 1 living room with a wood stove, very cosy in winter, 1 bathroom with shower and bath, 1 bedroom 1 with double bed, meditation room built in stone, independent WC.

Second floor: 3 bedrooms 3 with double bed, 1 bathroom with shower, Wc and laundry, Bedroom with 2 single bed and 1double bed.

20 minutes drive to Anduze with its Provencal old-town atmosphere. It has a good selection of cafés, restaurants, and lots of shops with local products, pottery and souvenirs.
45 minutes drive from Nîmes, and one hour from Montpellier and the Mediterranean beaches.
Central location allows you to explore the numerous sites of the Gard Department such as,
The inevitable Pont du Gard and Uzège.
Nimes, a town with roman history, especially roman amphitheaters and temple.
The nearby Parc National des Cévennes invites to wonderful walks.
Interesting silkworm Museum in St. Hippolyte, the old steam locomotive in Anduze, La Bambouseraie.
The Grotte de Trabuc cave and the Grotte des Demoiselles cave
Medieval villages villages like Sauve, Vézénobres and Sommieres.

Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, with its wide, sandy beach, 70 km, is ideal for those seeking the Camargue experience with its striking pink flamingos, small white Arab horses and black bulls. It is also not far from the delightful walled town of Aigues-Mortes

The sights in Procence: Avignon, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Les Baux de Provence, Arles, Antiques of St. Remy are within reach on day-trips.

We look forward to welcoming you to Le Hameau de la Pause ! Feeling in holidays !
