A beautiful family apartment that is perfect for families. It has two large bedrooms. Reliable 200mb/s internet makes it suitable for work also. Outside of the door is a tram stop which takes you to the center in ca 10 min. On the same street there are plenty of restaurants and things to do. Holesovice is a thriving part of town where its comfortable to live and its easy with kids. No smoking, no pets. It's suitable for people with allergies. Clean, newly renovated. Easy parking.

The space
This is a newly renovated apartment with two large bedrooms. It is good for smaller or larger families. The apartment is light and easy to maintain. We have proper curtains for a good nights sleep in both bedrooms and the lounge and its fully equipped. You will find everything that you would expect in a family home in this apartment. There are plenty of bedding, towels, kitchen equipment, toys, games, craft things and some books. We also have a hammock, tent, and "house bed" that is very popular with the little guests! There are extra scooters for the kids and baby things if you need on request. There is a nice playground within a few minutes walk and a couple of restaurants with playgrounds and things for the kids nearby. The apartment is on the 2nd floor with an elevator. We have fast internet on a new router - it is 200mb/s currently. There is a double bed, 3 full size single beds, one double sofa bed and also a cot available on request. You will feel the comfort of staying in home but away from home. Parking is available across the left side of street for a low cost, at a supervised parking lot.

Guest access
You can use all the rooms apart from the small room for the heater (we have a lock kids so they cant enter) and one cupboard that we use for cleaning supplies. There is a lot of storage in the long hall way and there are drawers and a wardrobe. We have fans which will be handy for the hottest summer months, although a normal summer you probably wont need it so much. For the winter we have a good heating system and extra heaters on request.

Other things to note
This is an area that is very comfortable to live in. Most things you might need is available just within a few minutes walk. You will be able to find playgrounds, great restaurants, museums and activities within the immediate vicinity of the apartment. Prague and its surroundings has a lot to offer for all seasons of the year. The summer can be hot, there is a local swimming pool 10 minutes away, and the closest big park (Stromovka) has a lovely pond with a boat, that kids often swim in. The Vozovna restaurant in Stromovka is great for families. There is a big playground, and a play corner and things for kids inside. The river is close, within 5 minutes walk. You can walk along it towards the park, you can also walk in the other direction and take the little P7 boat (public transport) to Karlin and hang out at the "beach pub" that has a play area. There are many events in the summer, as well as all the other months of the year.

For the winter, you can easily go on day trips to the mountains and ski and go back in the same day, the closest nice ski resort is located ca 1 h by car away. There is many iceskating places in Prague, the closest free one is in Letna park which is about 10 minutes tram ride away.

The spring and autumn is beautiful, we recommend going to the botanical gardens to enjoy it more. There is a nice vineyard wine restaurant at the botanical gardens with a nice view overlooking the city.

Holesovice is a leafy, quirky, industrial, interesting, kid-friendly area. It is also nicknamed a hipster capital. The old brewery and the marina has a nice walk where you will find plenty of new restaurants serving things like rawfood and asian food as well as the homely czech cuisine . Komunardu street is a good to explore first. Try Avion58 in the old brewery - it is our favourite! On Komunardu street you will also find La Fabrika which is a cultural venue for theatre and music.

Opposite Alza you will find a nice playground. Explore Alza as well as its pretty cool. Going on a 7 min tram ride you will arrive at the big park Stromovka. It is a really lovely park with playgrounds (with attached pubs and cafes), duck ponds and ponds the kids can swim in and ice skate on. There is also a fun rope boat for kids, a fun fair sometimes and many other things. From there you can take the "free" boat to Troja and walk to the zoo. There is also a public transport boat located a few minutes walk from the apartment. On the other side is a cool beach bar with hammocks and Karlin.

If you need an office space away from the apartment we can recommend the coworking spaces at Paralelni Polis which is on the same street near this house. We can recommend the Crododile zoo for your kids which is on the next street from the flat. Take the tram a few stops to the Letna Park for amazing views over the city and walk down to Strossmayerovo namesti for shopping and going to cafes.

Some nice kid friendly museums in the neighbourhood is DOX (arts museum), The technical museum and the agriculture museum.

In Bio Oko you can watch some films in english or with english subtitles. You will easily get to the old parts of Prague from this flat by taking tram 12 or 6. There is a private clinic a few minutes walk away that accepts foreigners without registration. If you have any questions about the area and what to do with kids you can ask us.

We are a Swedish/British family with 2 small children and soon a baby that used to be living in an old cinema outside of Göteborg in Sweden. We used to rent out two of our rooms on Airbnb. We sold our house 2 years ago to have a new life style as digital nomads. We changed our online business selling pashmina, rugs and hammocks so that we would be location independent. We have since then been travelling to lots of countries on 4 continents. We stayed in numerous airbnb places and have learned something from each stay. After 2 years of living the nomad life style we decided to settle a while in Prague and got two flats here in the cool area of Holesovice which we also rent out on Airbnb. We have renovated both completely and designed them with our knowledge that we got from staying in all those airbnb places in mind. We made sure that they are really comfortable, easy to maintain and contain those thing a travelling family really misses like proper kitchens and toys and books for the kids. For instance in Asia we got so used to the "asian bide" (a shower that is used instead of toilet paper) so we installed it in both apartments. We worldschool our children and run worldschooling actitivities when we are in Prague. If you have children and is interested you are welcome to join us too.
