Roma Caput Mundi!
Great, quiet place. Bus station is down the street. If you are getting there by bus, it may be difficult to find but as long as you read signs/numbers, there shouldn't be a problem. (It's behind another building off the street) Breakfast was made every single morning (from cereal to croissants and home made goodies with spices from her garden). Loretta was super friendly/funny and gave us info to get to all of the places we wanted to go. She speaks very little English but we connected greatly through (website hidden) translate.
Wonderful host! We loved our stay, she was able to accommodate my whole family of four and even fed us. Loretta is very sweet and welcoming, we felt very comfortable. She provided all the information we needed to make our way around Rome, and even had room for our car at her apartment. Strongly recommend staying with Loretta :)
We didn't meet Loretta in Rome because she only gave us her street address without her house/aparrtment number and her phone number. So we tried in vain running around Consorti looking at every door on the street to see if Loretta really existed. During our quest, many nice Italians helped us by searching her name, calling taxi (i really appriciate this, calling taxi in italy is a big problem bcause we don't speak italiian). Finally, out of hunger and exhaustion, we gave up at midnight after more than 4 hours running from Fiumicio airport to Trastevere and Consorti. I was tring to contact her by email but she didn't reply. I got her message the next day after i have booked another hostel. Might be Loretta is a nice host but in our circumtance, i cannot give her a good review. I hope in the future she can give her guests a clear description to her place (especially for those who don't speak italian) and a phone number is necessary.
A bientôt
Loretta was very hospitable and friendly. My experience was positive. It was quite hard to find the right address, but we did it :). Traveling to the centre of Rome takes little bit time.
Loretta was amazing. She had a hot meal waiting for us after a long day of travel, and a beautifully homemade breakfast each morning. We all cried when we had to leave- I cannot imagine a better host. You would be making a huge mistake to pass her up! We love her!
this place is very hard to find, very tiny, take a house# with letters, parking is a huge problem, host cook is welcome dinner which was great,
We have had an amazing stay with the host Loretta , we managed to communicate as we don't speak any Italian and her breakfast was so tasty . The room was nice and clean and her hospitals was faultless .
