Roma Caput Mundi!
Loretta is very kind and nice host. The apartment is far from station, but you can take a bus and she picked us up when we arrived. Her meal and breakfast are so nice.
Even thought Loretta is really lovely and hosted us very well, I must say the apartment was really far from the center of Rome. On the description Loretta should have precise it wasn't possible to take the metro from her house. This was a bit annoying since we were only staying for two days in Rome. But I still think it is pretty nice to stay in her house if you don't mind taking the bus or if you have a car.
Expect this, Loretta prepared to us really nice breakfasts in the morning and she even made our beds while we were out. It was really lovely from her. Thank you for your kindness Loretta !
We spent a beautiful week at Loretta's ! She is very welcoming and always willing to help. Her breakfasts are delicious and the apartment is very cosy. We all spent Christmas dinner around her delicious meal at the very best Italian way! Beautiful family beautiful stay in Rome :)
Merci Loretta !!!
We loved Loretta. She was so warm and welcoming and we had such a great time, it was like staying with family. We would definitely stay with her again. We had a great time
Loretta was an excellent host. Her understanding of English is only fair and she prefers to receive messages so that she can use a translating program. This of course is limited by the accuracy of the translation program. I must admit that my understanding of Italian is nil, and I would have to use the same tactic. The "camping room" was adequate for us and it is about on par with hostel accommodation. Loretta's house is about about a 5 or 6 minute walk down a quite steep hill from the bus stop. The walk back home up the hill would be an effort for those not reasonably fit. A bus trip is required to one of the three rail stations available. We took 45 minutes from reaching the bus stop to the Metro train station. A Euro 6 per person day pass covered all the travelling for the day. We had an 0830 tour of the Colosseum booked which required us to leave our accommodation at 0645. And on our booked tour of The Vatican , we left home at 0745 and were late for the 1000 tour, this due to what we assume was a bus that didn't turn up. Once at the train station, not a problem; they were very regular.
Loretta's, once one is aware of the transport system, is a good clean place to stay, and she does her best to ensure that your stay is pleasant.
