Hi, my name is Liwanag ("light" in Tagalog). I have been living in Le Triadou the last 20 years. I use to live in Senegal and Ivory Coast before I settled in France. I have studied agriculture specializing in plant pathology. I have stopped my career since I started having children, 5 of them. I started textile art in Africa due to my fascination with African printed textiles. I try to do 2 exhibitions a year in France and abroad. Some of my work can be viewed on In my travels, I have made friends of various nationalities and have me interested in African, Middle East, Asian and Eupean cooking. I love to improvise with whatever is available in my kitchen and garden. I have an organic fruit and vegetable garden at the back of my house. I love hiking, swimming and biking, except that I don't have enough time to them all at the moment. I am very at ease with tolerant, unpretensious and nature-loving people. I am one of those people who believe in preserving and protecting the planet. I also believe that there is innate goodness in human beings.
