Place was as described in many other reviews--very close to restaurants, good starting place for Road to Hana. We stayed in Lahaina for the first few days and then here in Paia so was a good chance to get to know both very different places. There were a few bugs and a small gecko did manage to get into the room but Miron was extremely responsive and helpful. He even let us checkout later in the day!

This is my first time on Maui. We were visiting from Chicago with a friend of mine. It was hard to choose the location on Maui so we ended up staying at 4 different places ( Paia, Kula, Kihei and Lahaina). And while each place has something interesting to offer, had I had a chance to start over I would definitely spend most on my time in Paia. The little town has a lot of character and the crowd is really cool. I think it's a better option for younger people. Lots of great restaurants and organic options to choose from. It is also rather central so it's easy to explore other parts of the island from there. Miron is a great host, his food recommendation were great. The little studio is amazing!!! It's not fancy but it's so cute! Ideal vocation spot! The mattress is super comfortable. The place is steps away from restaurants and a beach. Amazing experience! Thank you

We would stay here again! First and foremost, the location is excellent for those who want to "live like a local" in Paia and enjoy its string of lovely beaches. We didn't need a car the entire week! We simply walked into Paia each day, and used the public bus system when traveling to other parts of the island. There are two bus stops in town, both walkable from the studio. There is a sidewalk the entire 10-minute walk into town, and the way is sufficiently lit at night. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. When sleeping, though we could hear the passing vehicles on Hana Highway, they were white noise for us city folk; what stood out for us were the welcome sounds of birds, insects, etc. As you can read in the description, the bathroom is accessed by going outside and down a flight of stairs. We were surprised to find that we weren't bothered by this and in fact enjoyed the opportunity each night to star gaze. Wow. Miron was a great host, communicating just what we needed and leaving us to live independently for the week. As other reviewers have noted, one must be aware that there are bugs in Hawaii and leaving food scraps out in the studio is probably not a good idea. All in all, Miron's place offered us just what we wanted: a relatively inexpensive and convenient base in Paia with all the basic amenities we needed, including the small fridge. Mahalo to Miron.

Good value. We checked in at 9 pm after a long flight. Spent one night. Took 15 mins from rental car terminal at Kahului. Apartment had everything you need for easy meals. Our Wi-Fi didn't work initially. It worked when we were checking out the next morning. Bathroom is downstairs outside. Clean but rustic. There's ac and free parking. Our only contact with host is via Airbnb app.

This was a perfect spot to rejuvenate after a week of camping on Maui! Walked to paia for dinner and enjoyed the ocean view from the deck of my room at Mirons.
