It's a wonderful experience! Pauline is definitely a great host and they have a lovely place! It's very close to the street car and takes a bout 15 mins to downtown queen street. There are also some restaurant choices nearby ( mostly Indian and Tibetan), shoppers drug mart and other markets are just around the corner, so getting grocery is very convenient too! Highly recommended!
Thanks Lu! There are lots of other restaurant choices in the neighbourhood as well, like Small Town Food Co, recently reviewed by Giles Coren (Million Dollar Restaurant Review), Grand Electric, Geraldine, The Local, Chanteclair, Parts and Labour ... to name a few. We so enjoy having you stay with us!
I stayed for one month from Sep. 1 to Oct.1, 2014. I could spend a wonderful and comfortable time there. Especially, I felt that Pauline and Jeff are very kind and heartwarming. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to them again, and strongly recommend this B&B for your stay in Toronto. P.S. I enjoyed Pauline's nice chili and Japanese curry, thank you so much!!!
I enjoyed my stay at the Elliot house. Pauline and Jeff were awesome hosts! Very welcoming and they interacted with us during our stay :). It felt like a visit to a family members home. Very clean, with access to two bathrooms and living areas. Plus there are adorable Cats there! How great is that?! Whenever we venture back to Toronto we will be staying at the Elliot house
Lovely property. Comfortable, clean, and an excellent host.
In short, our stay in Toronto at Pauline and Jeff's home was incredibly nice.
Besides being all around great people (they are easy to talk to, very helpful with providing travel suggestions, and...there's a Bruins fan in the house!) their location is superb. They live only a block from the nearest bus stop, they are only a 20 minute walk to the nearest bike share, and Parkdale is a really, really beautiful neighborhood- vintage shops, bakeries, and chic restaurants are a stone's throw away from their front door.
The room was clean, and I very much appreciated the little touches- the snacks on the dresser, the bottles of water by our beds (it was a hot weekend).
We had a fantastic experience.
Stay with Pauline and Jeff, and you will be pleasantly surprised. Check it out!
Pauline and Jeff were wonderful hosts. They are welcoming and just lovely. It was such a pleasure to meet them. The location was terrific. A walk to the lake and a bus to the city center. Pauline had maps and was helpful in telling us how to navigate public transportation. The bus picks you up right at the end of her street. Her house is lovely and very homey. We met some wonderful people at breakfast every morning as well. An all around wonderful experience, by far my best Airbnb experience.
Staying at Elliot House was a pleasure for me. Pauline and Jeff are two very kind people that can help you discover the town and neighborhood.
And for those who love to discuss when coming back from work, this is the place to stay.
Thanks to both of you, not forgetting your son
