  • After traveling for two months and staying mainly in hostels I was definitely missing the comforts of home and that is exactly what I found at Pauline and Jeff's house. My friend Ruth and I loved our time here more than any other accommodation not only because Elliot House itself is such a beautiful building with lovely, sunny and comfortable rooms but mainly because Pauline and Jeff are the best hosts you could ask for and just brilliant people to meet and chat with. Felt instantly at home and they were both very good at acquainting us with the neigh hood which has some great restaurants to visit nearby and is only a short streetcar ride into the city. I enjoyed my time with Pauline and Jeff so much that I've gone back to to stay for the rest of my visit to Toronto. Couldn't be happier.

  • My husband and I both really enjoyed our recent stay at Elliott House. Our room, Rosewood, was quiet and comfortable. Pauline and Jeff are both excellent hosts and we had several interesting conversations with Pauline. The pleasant Victorian neighbourhood was convenient to restaurants, streetcars, and even to walking trails on the lake. We would be happy to stay there again. Sharon

Mai-Linh, that is the sweetest review ever! Thank you for that. I look forward to your next visit and truly hope I am available so I can accommodate you. Keep well. Pauline

  • Elliott House is a wonderful and very charming place that looks even better in reality than it does in the pictures. Pauline, its host, and her partner are two very nice people and were extremely helpful to us. They were happy to share addresses of places worth of a visit and provide us with practical information as well as maps and guides. We worried a bit that the common bathroom would be an issue but we were proven wrong. Our room (Daisy) was good size, very clean, a bit on the dark side since the windows give on a house next door, but if one intends to see the city and is out all day, that shouldn't be an issue at all. The best surprise for me was that Pauline thinks about everything one may need and she has even provided a hairdryer for her guests' use. I'd recommend her and the Elliott House to anyone and would be happy to stay in the Elliott House again, anytime. Thank you, Pauline!

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Eliot House. It is very well located a short walk from the lake and near to the streetcars. We had a very comfortable room and plentiful breakfasts. Hosts were extremely accomodating. Our first air bnb experience and certainly not our last! Thankyou Pauline and her husband and all the other guests who were so welcoming and friendly.

  • Pauline is very welcoming and helpful as we didn't know how to use streetcar/ subway tokens and transfers. It was a pleasure to stay in Elliott house and was a very nice change from the bland Holiday Inn in Yorkdale we stayed in 1st when we arrived in Canada! Her house has personal character and we liked the opportunity to stroll around and get a flavour of an ordinary neighbourhood. ( the neighbourhood is eclectic and multicultural ) We felt safe and people were friendly. The streets are leafy with interesting Victorian Toronto houses. Some done up, some run down. There are small eateries and bars and a jumble of shops within walking district - we ate at a small Tibetan restaurant, which was a new thing for us - tasy and good value. It was very easy to get to the centre/ train station via streetcar - 15 to 20 mins - would probab take 10 mins without stops. If we had had more time may have walked down to the lake. Nice selection for breakfast and handy to have a 3 bed room. Opportunity to chat to other travellers over breakfast. Thank you Pauline we enjoyed our stay.
