I respect your right to quiet enjoyment of the property.
This is a neighborhood with views of the Catalina Mountains. Houses are typically on 1 acre lots with much of the native desert preserved. The subdivsions across the street are deeded horse property. If you are walking be prepared to wave back at the passing cars.

The award-winning Tohono Chul Park is 2 miles. Bus stop is within 1/2 mile. Bicycle available. Rillito River Park is 3/4 of a mile and a great place to walk, run or bike.

I enjoyed my stay at Helen's guest house in Tucson. It was nice and private and everything was supplied to make the stay comfortable. Helen was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommended!
I really enjoyed staying at Helen's place. She was very easy to interact with and gave me my privacy and space.
My stay was peaceful and enjoyable. I loved waking up in the morning to the sound of birds, and the peace and quiet at night. The space was bigger than I thought it would be. I recommend this for you if you want to get away from the city noise and just enjoy some down time.
Once again, staying at Helen's was perfect. She allowed us to arrive/check-in early so we could then go to the Gem show. The place is very clean and was just right for my husband and I. She even contacted me prior to our arrival to ask if there were any refreshments we wanted. This was my second time here and I plan on staying here again next year!
Our host Helen was very accommodating, even contacting us before our arrival to see if we wanted anything special. She had a sweet treat waiting for us, and even though our arrival was delayed she stayed up past her usual bedtime to greet us.
The apartment was simply decorated, yet well-appointed. And it was very clean.
My wife and I enjoyed the private, gated courtyard outside our door, and we got a kick out of the whimsical pieces and landscaping in her yard in her quiet neighborhood.
We had a comfortable stay and a nice time.
Our stay at Helens place was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
Helen's description of her little piece of heaven was completely accurate - it really is a secluded getaway. Located on the near-northwest side, in the hills just above the river, Helen's apartment is perfectly located for anyone needing to get downtown, midtown, or the Skyline business corridor in the Catalina foothills. And if you're just in town for a leisure trip I think you'll find Helen's place to be the perfect base station for all the best tourist attractions in the city.
And did I say apartment? Yep, a self contained one-bedroom apartment with a private entrance, a private patio, and off-street parking. If you're a private person, you'll love Helen. She is gracious, professional and will give you all the space you ever wanted. I thought the lack of wifi and cable TV would be an issue for me but it turned out to be just the opposite - a nice break from my digital addictions. (If you really need a fix there are plenty of coffee shops near by.)
Here's the review: The privacy is amazing, the location is just right, you can't beat the price, Helen is great. One of my best AirBnb finds yet.
This was such a great location! Tucked in a nice desert scape neighborhood yet very close to all major grocery stores, mall and restaurants. This place felt like home and with vintage family photos on the wall, it was a nice touch. I felt welcomed by Helen, she had bagels and fruit on arrival. She was very nice and was available right away (late, at 11pm) when we had a short power outage. We plugged in a space heater on a lower supply outlet and needed to reset the power box. Whoops! :) The heat in the bedroom was perfect, my friend needed a little more heat sleeping in the front room using the space heater but it worked out great. The place is as it's described. My friend and I were very comfortable here, there was plenty of closet/drawer space in the room. The vanity and it's light stand is perfect to do make up. :) The full restroom was perfect, she had soaps, lotion, travel size shower products and towels ready. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. No photo can describe the outside patio and fire pit area, it's desert scape beauty at it's best. It's very quiet and peaceful. A great get away if you need to rest. It gets dark at night so make sure you leave the outside patio light on and maybe a small flash light to see where you're walking. With this price, this place is a steal! I'd definitely stay here again.
