this was a great place to stay for not very much money. helen had everything ready for us and even had some juice and fresh bagels for the first day. the location is really central to all areas of Tucson and is quite quiet. we enjoyed out stay and privacy.
Helen's place was perfect for me and my friends. The mini-kitchen allowed us to perpare and eat breakfast every day and we could also put together our lunches to take with us for our days out. When we returned in the evening we would sit around the table and couch and chat. Overall a very warm and cozy place and the location was perfect for our needs. We will be booking it again next year.
My granddaughter loved the mystical flair to the Mother-in-law suite and the acess to a nicely groomed faire land in the yard--yes we thought Helen was warm and friendly..could not of asked for more..Thank you again---- AIRbnb you scored 100 per cent again
This was a great find for our two day stay in Tucson in that for a reasonable price we got a living room/mini kitchen, large bedroom, very nice large bathroom and separate entrance. It's an easy 10 min drive to central Tucson and about three minutes to the main freeway.
I greatly enjoyed my stay at Helen's quaint in-law unit. The space was very comfortable and relaxing, and the location was very convenient--it felt removed and peaceful, but it was still close to everything I needed (grocery store, shopping, etc). Helen is a gracious host who makes you feel welcome, and also leaves you to enjoy yourself. I found the electric blanket to be a nice, unexpected bonus that helped me stay nice and cozy at night, and I slept very well. The small kitchen area has a microwave, hot plate, and small fridge, so I was able to cook a nice meal in one of the nights during my stay as well. All in all, a very positive experience in a comfortable home!
Overall, this space is most like a small mother-in-law apartment. The amenities include a dorm-size fridge, a hotplate with a single burner, and a small microwave.. The ramada and table just outside the door of this unit are charming and peaceful.
There is no WiFi at this location.
The location is geographically wonderful, quiet and off the beaten path, yet quite close to shopping and businesses..
The apartment was a bit chilly when we were there, but Helen has made very eanest inquiries as to our comfort, and plans to make all necessary adjustments. She truly seems to be very conscientious as a host.
Helen's home is in a nice area. (website hidden) a private entrance into a nice apartment .Helen was always helpful and done her best to make sure that I was ok .I found no WiFi a disadvantage .The apartment needs a coat of paint ,and the heating was inefficient and I was cold on several occasions .

A very sweet place--this small "mother-in-law" apartment felt very private, has a nice little outside patio and on a quiet street--good for walking. Lined-dried linens smelled wonderful, the heater worked on a chilly night, and there were plenty of blankets. Nicely furnished including dishes in the kitchenette. In short--all the comforts of home! Host was pleasant and helpful. I plan to stay here again when I visit Tucson.
