DECOPLAGE in Miami under reconstruction, be careful! The apartment 410 in Decoplage – Miami South Beach, was very roomy, well furnished - we found everything we needed. Decoplage is a very good located apartment complex in South Beach. But, be careful! Decoplage is under reconstructrion and the owners of the apartments don´t inform clients about it before payments are made!!! Inspite of reconstruction, they charged a full price! We found out about the reconstruction only by accident, and very late - 3 days before our departure. That's too late to find a different suitable accommodation. But the agent Dawn, who rented the appartement for us, did not inform us about reconstruction in advance. When we asked her about it, she wrote us that she’s sorry, but she and the owner didn´t know about reconstruction... However, during our stay in Decoplage, we learned that the big reconstruction is going on for a few years. So – how is it possible that the agent didn't know about it??? When we were contacting our agent Dawn before arriving in Mimai with our concerns about recostruction, she reassured us that the construction workers will not be physically present in our unit for more than 5 days, and promised us a discount for that. But, in a fact, we were "visited" by workers during 13 days! They were tearing down a wall in our closet which was a part of the living room... The workers usually arrived around noon, when we had lunch, or when we were you can imagine, this caused a lot of discomfort, loss of privacy, noise and dust for 13 days – from our 40 days stay. We tried to communicate our problems with the agent Dawn and the owner too - during our stay. We agreed on a discount which was calculated on a maximum of 5-7 days of discomfort, but in fact - it was actually twice as long. But then the owner and agent Dawn changed the tone to: “We already gave you a discount, what else do you want?” In summary: The place where Decoplage is located is very good, and appartement 410 is very nice, but it is facing on the noisy street, (large trucks kept coming with supplies for the supermarket located below, almost every day early in the morning). Important note: before you will go to any appartement to Decoplage, check if reconstruction is still ongoing. The construction is incredibly noisy and the entire area is dusty. The reconstruction also currently affects the area around the swimming pool. The noise from the drills can be heard all day - from 9 AM to 6 PM. Inspite all the circumstances, we have tried to take everything with humor and to enjoy our stay in Miami. However, we will not easily forget how disappointed we were with Dawn and the owner Ana Goldie. Eva + Maria+ Linda

I rented this unit for a month and overall had a great experience. The condo was clean and the furniture was nice. The king size bed was very comfortable and the blackout drapes were great! Internet was fast and reliable when i was plugged in (my wireless lost connection from time to time, don't know if it's my machine or the modem). The balcony didn't have the best view but at least it had furniture. The bathroom was small with only a shower but it suited my needs just fine. Can't beat the LOCATION and VALUE for the SOBE area. The beach is your backyard! 24 Hour Walgreens & CVS next door. Library is 5 blocks away as is a UPS store. Fedex is next door at the Lowe's hotel. Decoplage building could use some updating - New Carpet in hallways and some painting will serve this building well. Get to know security so they know your face. It makes it easier when entering the building and your unit. I never had a chance to meet Dawn but she was very fast and responsive to any questions i had. Thank you Dawn for having me...
