Checking in and out went smoothly. Rachel is very responsive and I enjoyed my stay there.
Rachel was very prompt with her response we when requested information about booking with her on such short notice (less than 24hours). We met her briefly to get the key to the apartment and in that short time she was very friendly and let us know that even though she may not be around that if we had any questions that she would always have her phone on her.
The apartment was on the second floor of the building. The room was the perfect size for us and the bed was very comfortable. Rachel provides us with clean linen for the bed and towels.
The apartment wasn't too far from transit either and was in a very quiet neighbourhood; we never heard a sound while we slept.
I would absolutely recommend this apartment if you are looking to be close to downtown Manhattan but also in a quiet part of this busy city.
Rachel was so welcoming and accommodating! Our flight got delayed 2 hours and she took it in stride. The location is wonderful - walking distance to the BK Bridge and the East Village no sweat. Plus the F train stop is like 3 blocks away. So convenient. Plus Rachel gave us a couple of ideas for places in the area as well as a heads up on the places we'd want to avoid. As someone who had never stayed in Chinatown before, this was super helpful.
The apartment is definitely smaller than the photos make it seem. We had 3 in our group which made it a bit tight - 2 on the bed and 1 on the air mattress but hey, you're in New York! All you really need is a place to sleep and keep your stuff safe.
This apartment was exactly what I was looking for and Rachel was so wonderful to work with - I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting New York. A++++
Rachel was a wonderful host! My roommate and I were able to stay in her apartment for a few days while we visited NYC for the first time - her place is very clean and cozy. Rachel was very helpful and easily accessible by text/email if we had any questions.
The area around her apartment was a wonderful place to see - lots of good restaurants, and very close to the financial district. Definitely a great place to stay!
The place was clean and very well located!
It was perfect for the WE at 3.
However we had a hard time to find the appartment as nothing was notified by Rachel.
First of all Rachel left the keys at a key cafe with a system according to your cell phone number and a password, it was my first time to use or hear about this system and when I went to the key cafe which was near to her house and entertainmentmy no., I got the same aanswer it's invalid ???? What is that and the guyIin the cafe was very nervousI tried to show him my rregistration and it was 10 pm and Rachel didn't answer. Ohhhh my God I was in a trouble. After a while Rachel called the man and gave her no. And password and I got the key. That was the bad side from the story. The good side that Rachelhouse wwas clean and nice. She left us alot of blankets and all stuff we could need. I never met her but I wish to meet her to thank her. The second day when I have to check out I was late for my time about 2 hours and I text here, she was very welcoming and nice. In China town near to the house u could find all the stuff you need like food, dinner, metro station. Nice area, nice lady. Thank you Rachel
It's my first NYC and Airbnb experience and Rachel has helped make sure it's a wonderful one. Throughout the whole process Rachel is very responsive and helpful, which I appreciate a lot. To get the keys is easy, and to setup the Wifi connection is straightforward.
As for the place, it is in Chinatown and within less than ten minutes walk from several metro stations. The room is not super big but has got almost everything needed. A simple but nice place to stay for anyone (especially if you are alone) who travels to NYC.
