Our home is located on the edge of the Wailua River State Park and the Wailua Complex of Heiaus. In Wailua, you’ll find a variety of sightseeing opportunities and outdoor activities. Kayak the Wailua River in Wailua River State Park, take a boat ride to the Fern Grotto, or take photos at Opaekaa Falls. Don’t forget to try and spot the Sleeping Giant in the Nounou Mountains or take a hike up this scenic ridge. Sacred places like Polihau Heiau, the large lava-rock temple of Kauai’s last king, Kaumualii, can also be found on the East Side. And be sure to visit Kapaa Town to discover fine Hawaiian craft pieces, aloha-print shirts, jewelry and art.
But the golden beaches of the Coconut Coast may be the area’s biggest draw. Unwind at Anahola Beach Park, whale watch at Donkey Beach or watch the surfers at Kealia Beach to the north. Lydgate Beach Park in Wailua has two lava rock enclosed ocean pools that are perfect places for families and first-time snorkelers. Fun in the sun awaits you on the Coconut Coast.

Michelle really knows how to create a comfortable atmosphere for her guests. On top of being a great host, the house and room are amazing and have everything you could possible need for your stay in amazing Kauai.
And of course, we will always remember what Michelle taught us about the hurricanes and flash floods :)
Michelle and Serafin are wonderful hosts. I enjoyed my staying at their welcoming, cosy, spacious home. My bed was super comfortable and I had everything I need including beach towels and island guide. There is also a huge kitchen (with all the necessary appliances) and living room with a big open deck. I really enjoyed my early breakfasts with Michelle when she shared her life on Kauai. The place is also close to the airport, grocery stores, and great hiking trails. I would definitely stay here during my next trip.
Michelle and Serafin were outstanding hosts! First, our room was exactly as advertised. The bed was super comfortable and the AC kept the room nice and cool. The rest of the house was large, roomy and felt like home while we explored Kauai. I loved the cats. Calliann was really friendly and sweet. The bathroom, kitchen and common area were all available for use and kept very clean. We felt free to roam the entire premise without feeling restricted or uncomfortable. You will love hearing and smelling the rain from the outside deck. Michelle was great to talk story with; I learned a lot of new things. I couldn't imagine a better arrangement. Thank you Michelle and Serafin!
We had a delightful time with Michelle and Serafin. The room was clean, the house was cozy, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. It was a great home base for us to go adventure all over the island.
I'm a flight attendant and have traveled all over the world, but I'd have to say that staying with Michelle and Seraphin was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had! From the second my husband and I showed up we were greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm and it only got better from there. The home is absolutely gorgeous and even though we had our own room, with cable and AC and our own private deck entrance, we spent every morning and evening sitting on the deck with them and talking. They told us about some great places to see and local attractions that only a local would know about which made our visit even more memorable. They are wonderful and I would go back again and again!
Our stay with Michelle and Serafin was amazing. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to provide us with any amenity that they could; from a listening ear to snorkeling gear. This listening is everything it promises and more, I would not stay with anyone else when coming to Kauai!
