Our home is 5 minutes to town, restaurants, galleries, and shopping, as well as 5 minutes to JTNP west entrance. Step out your door for great hiking, biking, and plenty of solitude. Join us and stay at a perfect location for exploring all the local sights. We are long time locals, and happy to share our knowledge of this amazing desert. Dan has climbed and hiked here since the 70s. Cindy is a biology teacher, and active in the local environmental community with knowledge of area flora and fauna.

The space
The Coyote Den is a private two room suite with bathroom attached to our home. You have your own private entrance and patio. Included in the suite are two rooms, one bedroom with a queen bed, closets and drawer space and one sitting room with a daybed and very comfortable chair. In the sitting room is a coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, and a mini refrigerator. There is no kitchen or cooking facilities. You also have a full private bathroom with tub and shower. All towels, shampoo, soap, and hair drier are supplied. We are located within walking distance of several preserves and recreation areas. On any given day while visiting our property you can see quail, bunnies, jack rabbits and coyotes. We've even seen bobcats by your back porch. We donate a portion of every stay at the Coyote Den to the Mojave Desert Land Trust. They are protecting our Desert lands for our future!

Hi, I am a retired Flight Paramedic now teaching Wilderness Medicine for NOLS. I live with my wife ( a high school biology teacher ) in Joshua tree, California. We would definitely call ourselves low impact type people. We love the outdoors and now that our daughter has left the ranch, we hope to travel more and host our own Airbnb. We love to meet new people but we can disappear too!
