  • Koh Tomyums

Go there at around 8 pm so that you can enjoy their nice ambience with Disney fireworks. Great Service. Lovely Food. My natural choice if I want a nice dinner in DB.
  • Fusion - Discovery Bay Superstore

The best place for water and other supplies when you first arrive. Opposite to the building, there is a bus stop with all buses going to the plaza. Take anyone of them and it will take you there.
  • Uncle Russ fresh Roasted

Better than most of the chains in town (incl. Pacific Coffee in the plaza). Grab a cup of coffee or Chai Latte before you take the ferry.
  • The China Beach Club

A great place to go after a long hike from Discovery Bay. Try their Surf Surf (Perch with King Prawns), mash potatoes and apple crumbles! Reasonably priced and generous portion, highly recommend~!
Tung Wan Tau Road Lantau Island LANTAU
  • Bahce Turkish Restaurant

This is a great restaurant with a slow pace, small town feel. The food is tasty and well presented. On week-ends ,they sometimes have live singers which makes the atmosphere really festive.
  • Thai Pailin Massage

The Thai massage is great and at a very affordable price. The place is clean and inviting. They are quite full on weekends so do call and book in advance.
Ngan Wan Rd Mui Wo LANTAU
  • Federal Palace Restaurant

If you want to try Dim Sum 點心, Hong Kong’s must-try local delicacy, around the area, Federal Palace is the place to go. Reasonable price and with pretty good food.
  • Citygate

Outlet for a great variety of brands. It’s a place where visitors can search for off-season goods at large discounts they won’t find elsewhere in Hong Kong. 15 mins away from our apartment.
  • Shek Mun Kap Lo Hon Monastery

If you are going for a hike from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping, this is a great first stop for lunch. The small temple has the best chinese vegetarian food-light(not oily), delicate and balanced in flavor.
  • Upper Cheung Sha Beach

Easily one of the best beaches in Hong Kong, Cheung Sha, like its name in Chinese means long sand, its an elongated beach that is not overly crowded even during weekends.
    South Lantau Road
  • Tian Tan Big Buddha

The Buddha is 34 metres tall and was the worlds tallest outdoor bronze seated Buddha prior to 2007. The statue symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and religion.
  • Tai O

Known as the Venice of HK, Tai O attracts both foreigners and local tourists. For a small fee, some residents can take you out on their boats for short jaunts into the sea. Sunset here is beautiful.
