This is the perfect apartment to visit and get to know Rome. We stayed here for a week and it was just lovely. The apartment is tastefully decorated, and although not large, was perfect for my husband and I and our two daughters. It has everything you need, including an espresso maker, and is set in a beautiful area of Rome called Travestere, which is vibrant and interesting in it's own right, and definitely feels a lot less touristy. There are wonderful restaurants everywhere, and of course the best gelato in the world! Living here made us feel as if we were part of the community and we had the best of times. Our host couldn't have been more welcoming and responded to any questions we had very quickly. I would highly recommend staying here.
We never met Guilio because of a screw up by our driver from the airport, which was not Giulio's fault. The driver didn't warn Giulio of our arrival but he had a contingency arrangement so we were able to check in without any waiting. He offered to come meet us the next day but I said it was not necessary. Giulio was 100% responsive and the apartment is fantastic. I have no reason to think of staying anywhere else in Rome. Great accomodation in a terrific location. If you want a convenient and well set up apartment that is clean and comfortable then this is a great choice. We were two adult and two kids (kids shared a large and comfortable sofa bed).
Giulios apartment was exactly as described! Perfectly located, it had everything that you needed including breakfast! The air conditioning was a bonus since we were in the middle of a heat wave! It was lovely to arrive to bottled water and orange juice in the fridge too!
Giulio was very helpful with everything! He recommended lots of restaurants to eat at, and was easily contactable throughout our stay. He even arranged transport to the airport! We loved staying at Giulios apartment, and hopefully we will be back again one day.
The apartment was located in the area of Trastevere just the other side of the Garibaldi bridge. The directions for the apartment were relatively clear and we found it quite easily. Located on the first floor of an old building there was a lift, that helped with luggage.
Giulio was on hand to greet us, and always responded well to any queries before we arrived.
The flat is compact, and the bed is positioned on a small mezzanine floor, the stairs to the bed area were quite steep, so a little care was required to navigate them. July in Rome is hot, and whilst the flat benefited from air conditioning, the bed area being high in the flat did get very warm, despite having the air-conditioning on.
The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome breakfast pack, a very thoughtful touch and made us feel at home, a great idea.
The bathroom, and especially the shower was large with great water pressure. All the toiletries and towels were on hand for us.
Giulio provided a large amount of books and guides to allow for planning of the main sites for Rome, but the massive benefit is the location, where everything can be reached amazingly well on foot, an added benefit. Locally there were numerous restaurants and bars to take advantage of.
The neighbourhood was fantastic for food options, I'm guessing it's in a food district. Our host was very welcoming and easy to get a hold of. It's a nice little apartment and we had no concerns.
You can't go wrong booking Giulio's apartment. Everything is clean, modern, and functional. Three adults in our group stayed there very comfortably. The proximity was good for site-seeing, and even better for dinner, drinks, coffee, etc. Giulio himself is a fantastic host. He spoils you with small things in the apartment: Nespresso machine, in-wall safe, tons of bathroom amenities, maps, restaurant recommendations, water, juice, etc.
We loved our stay in Giulio's apartment. It was lovely and spacious with everything you could possibly need. It's on a really lovely neighborhood, quiet street but quite a lively part of Rome with plenty of bars and restaurants - safe to wander around at night too.
Giulio was very accommodating and provided a list of great places to eat and organised transport to the airport for us. If we are ever in Rome again, we will definitely be back!
