Incredible home in a perfectly remote setting. Felt a million miles away from it all, while only being minutes to the shops in Inverness and downtown Pt. Reyes. Cozy, cabin feel with a gourmet kitchen that invites culinary adventure, I can highly recommend this home for a large group getaway.
Fox Lodge exceeded all my expectations! This is a beautifully crafted house that's been thoughtfully and tastefully designed. Its high ceilings and spacious rooms, that fill with light in the day, made a comfortable home for our group over a long weekend.
Dave has clearly thought out and provided all that a group might need during their stay: a well stocked kitchen, plenty of extra towels and toiletries in the bathrooms, fire wood a the ready, and the game closet + a basement ping pong table helped keep us entertained at night.
The house is also wonderfully located! It's just minutes from Point Reyes Station where there's a great market and some cute shops, and a short drive to a beautiful beach + some amazing hiking routes. It's also very near Tomales Bay Oyster Co where you can (and should) eat your weight in delicious oysters.
My group had a great stay at Fox Lodge, and Dave was the perfect host. He was prompt and helpful in his response to my request and all of my questions. I would highly recommend Fox Lodge to any group/family that's looking to stay near beautiful Point Reyes. I could not have been happier with my time there.
David was responsive right out of the gate. Fox Lodge is a phenomenal place -- beautiful, clean, and plenty of space for our group. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and I would highly recommend working with David.
The reservation was canceled 41 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Fox Lodge is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect setting for our company retreat. Though it's secluded and peaceful, It's easy to find and is located near plenty of restaurants, beaches, hikes, etc. The house had everything we needed and is even better than the pictures!
We had a great stay at the Fox Lodge! It was the perfect venue for our group of six. The space has loads of character, a well equipped kitchen, multiple bathrooms and is located really well for enjoying the surrounding hikes, beaches and nature. David provided us with all the necessary information well in advance of our arrival and the food recommendations in the welcome e-mail and book were spot on!
The house was amazing. We had a big group up to stay for a long weekend and it was just perfect. great accomodations, amazing kitchen and outdoor grill, and just a stellar property. I'd definitely recommend it and will hopefully be returning again soon.
Originally from Wisconsin, I have lived in San Francisco for the past twenty+ years. I took my love of the outdoors growing up to Alaska where I spent six years commercial fishing and traveling the world in the off season. I currently work in real estate and have opened up two restaurants in SF (Hog and Rocks and Hi Lo).
I discovered Point Reyes years ago and am still amazed that we have access to such incredible beauty less than an hour from the city.
