Interaction with guests
I want you to feel welcome and comfortable while you are here! If for you that means keeping to yourself and just crashing here at night, that's totally fine! If you prefer to have a friendly chat when we cross paths, that's also great!
Friendly & diverse residential neighborhood. Lots of families and kids. There's a little corner store a 10 minute walk away that has all the groceries/snacks you'll need in addition to an amazing Mexican bakery. Next door to the store is a taqueria with delicious Mexican food. There's a Starbucks and several other places to eat (including pizza, falafel, sushi, sandwiches, fast food, and another taqueria) a three-minute drive/15 minute walk down the road.
Easy access to highways 101 and 84, free driveway parking. The SamTrans 281 bus stops about a block from the house. Stanford has a free shuttle (the Marguerite) and there is a stop on the Bohannon Line about a 10-15 minute walk from the house. Most people find that a rental car or Uber are the best ways to get around.
Other things to note
NON-SMOKERS & WOMEN ONLY PLEASE! :)
I have a cat named Annabelle who enjoys being admired by AirBnB guests. Her life goal is to escape out the front door so you'll have to watch your feet when you come/go. Incidentally: she is not allowed in the guest bedroom and I vacuum frequently with a HEPA filter vacuum.
If you enjoy gardens or flowers, I'd be happy to give you a tour of my 3500 sq. ft. drought-tolerant flower and vegetable gardens :) If you like roses, you can enjoy the 51 rose bushes on the property. If you come in the summer you can enjoy some fresh garden produce!
Check out my AirBnB guidebook to see my local restaurant, shopping and sightseeing recommendations! :)

I was born and raised in Palo Alto, CA but have called many places home over the years, including Washington state, London, Indianapolis, Chicago, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Washington D.C. I'm so happy to be home again in the Bay Area. I think this is one of the greatest places in the world!
I love gardening and plants, and enjoy spending time in my yard working on garden science projects. I recently removed 3500 square feet of lawn and planted drought tolerant flowers and a huge organic vegetable garden. I also love walking/riding my bike by the Baylands, baking delicious things, and reading.
I decided to list a space in my home on AirBnB because I have met so many wonderful people during my travels. The Bay Area is a marvelous part of the world and I love hosting people who come to visit it!
