This cottage definitely made our St. Louis weekend! The space was gorgeous, comfortable and accessible. We really enjoyed Deanna's design style and her attention to detail...she's definitely a remarkable host. The patio out front was relaxing and where we ended both nights of our stay. Really, this was a fantastic place. One of my favorite Airbnb stays yet.
Location was perfect - walking distance to anything in Soulard, and amazingly easy access to the Arch/downtown area. We didn't have any trouble getting around. This is a great starting point for anywhere you'd like to hit.
Fair warning to those traveling in a group of three - this house does feel designed to accommodate two guests (two chairs in the kitchen & living room, one bed and a twin air mattress upstairs.) This arrangement was fine for a couple days, but would have worn on my friend (who had the air mattress) if we'd stayed much longer. That being said - we would definitely stay here again, just not for more than a couple nights. Aside from the seating and sleeping arrangements, it was spacious and comfortable.
Overall, we were incredibly pleased with our stay. It really made our trip as fun as it was. Would definitely stay here again!
My girlfriend and I decided to get out of town (from Chicago) for an extended Valentines Day weekend. Somehow we chose St. Louis. She found this place in "historic Soulard," a bit of a preserved section of St. Louis. We were very pleased with the location and after researching a bit more we were excited to be near some interesting bars, restaurants and night life, and what seemed to be a very quaint neighborhood of St. Louis.
Upon our arrival, we were overjoyed by the outside appearance and the overall vibe of the immediate area. We had plans to get out and experience more of the city but we were so charmed by the place that we kind of "made ourselves at home" and decided to enjoy the coziness of the cottage. The pictures online really do this place the justice it deserves and there is more to discover when you get to the cottage. The finishing touches of an old rehabbed cottage are extremely tasteful and yet very homey at the same time.
Allow yourself to be charmed by this cottage. You won't regret it in the least.
Deanna's place was just incredible. She was able to let us check in early and we walked over to the farmers market to buy food so that we could utilize the beautiful kitchen. The area is quiet but has so much to offer and the house is cozy and artistically decorated. We will absolutely be booking with her again!
This place is awesome! The cottage is very unique and has a very warm and welcoming feel to it. Deanna does a great job with the upkeep; the place clean and top notch. She was very flexible with out arrival and departure times. She also gave us great suggestions on where to visit in the area. I would for sure stay here again next time if I decided to visit the St. Louis area again!!
We had a fantastic stay in St. Louis! Deanna was a great host, the cottage was lovely, and Soulard is a neat, centrally-located, historic neighborhood. Highly recommended.
Deanna's place is top notch.
We could not have asked for a better host nor location. Deanna is a masterful decorator and has created a truly special ambiance. You won't find a better place to stay in Downtown St. Louis. A+++
The cottage was really a great place to stay. Very tastefully designed and furnished. We enjoyed the neighborhood's historical charm and delicious cuisine at FRANCO which was only a short walk away from the cottage. Deanna was an awesome host. She was helpful and flexible with our late check out due to St.Louis' Snowmageddon in Jan 2014. We would definitely book with Deanna any time again.
Deanna's Cottage in Soulard is fantastic place to stay! Perfect location to explore Soulard and tge downtown area. The place is beautifully remodeled and She is a wonderful host. Couldn't have asked for more! Thanks Deanna!
Deanna was great and so was the apartment. It is the perfect size for a couple's getaway to St. Louis. Deanna is a tremendous host and she went the extra mile to make sure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. I would recommend her to anyone thinking about renting a place in STL. For anyone unfamiliar with the city, Soulard is a great place to stay - centrally located and close to everything.
Very very clean, charmingly decorated, great location. The house is extremely well stocked with everything you might need during your stay. Highly recommend. Deanna is really friendly and readily available if anything comes up.
