Interaction with guests

This is my home, I live a life between yoga and creative projects. Im happy to help with questions, to share a meal, to share some tips. My passion is living a healthy lifestyle, and living life to the max.

There are some great walks around the rice fields too. The house is cleaned every 2nd day, laundry can be picked up and delivered and any other special arrangements can be arranged

The neighborhood

Just ricefields to the horizon, and a few houses speckled by. Its a very quiet area. Depending on the season you will witness a cycle of rice and the activities around it. Perhaps the ducks might be here, or the tractors are churning up the mud. A special time is when they harvest the rice; the Balinese people work hard but are always happy and chatty.

Getting around

I have a bicycle you are free to use. I can also arrange for you to rent a scooter from our laundry lady. Let me know before hand and we can make sure it's at the house for your arrival. Otherwise there are drivers nearby, or walking into town is also a treat through the village. Everyone is friendly and most people passing will ask if you want a taxi - Balinese people done walk so when they see someone walking they want to help out. Its under $5 to get into town by taxi and taxi-scooter is just a few dollars.

Other things to note

There are now 3 great cafe's just 2 minutes walk from the house, 2 of them are organic, cheap and cheerful so you will not be hungry. All are open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
The Secret Garden is a super sweet spot, just as the name suggest it has seating all over its garden, its run by a Japanese community that serve a Japanese fusion menu, best place for coffee as they have a proper machine. They grow most of their vegetables in the garden. Sandwiches, curries, sushi, a small raw food selection, salads and deserts.
AA Juicery makes organic juices - the green glow is a hit and have a good wholesome Indonesia food, and soups, they serve red rice and the coconut icecream is a good addiction.
Made Becik Warung - this was the first place opened on the street own and run by the sweetest Balinese family, always happy and cheerful to see returning customers, they have a solid reputation. All home meals, authentic Balinese cooking, they make everything from scratch and buy everything fresh from the markets in the mornings. Sip on a coconut and watch the world go by.
All 3 will also deliver to the house. And if you go either left or right of the street more places can be found further up!!

Oksana's place is wonderful. It is in the middle of the rice fields 2 km away from the vibrant Ubud, which is great. Oksana is a wonderful host, although we did not get to meet her in person. You should ask Oksana for a scooter if you stay there and want to get around easily.

it was great time we have in Ubud. Oksana gave us a great tips about the place and surroundings. if you want to experience a real life in Ubud go for the place, cafes around are amazing, healthy and organic food. the only thing I would have is a need of a fun in the bedroom as it is really hot at night.

We had a good stay at Oksanas place. The house was well maintained and it was a bonus having a pool just downstairs. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Oksana this time but from my communication via email she seemed like a great host.

Our stay at Oksnas place was simply amazing. She has a very lovely home that is decorated in a beautiful and artistic way, a joy for the eye and peace for the heart. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda looking out on the rice fields with the interesting ducks by day and fireflies by night. The master bedroom is clean and bed very comfortable, and it is very good to have a pool to swim and relax in. Oksana took very well care of us even though she was gone during our stay. Thank you Oksana for having us, we loved it, look forward to meet you in person if we are ever able to come again :)

I enjoyed Oskana's lovely home for 10 wonderful nights. Great location away from the busy streets of Ubud but close enough to get to experience all Ubud has to offer, a tranquil oasis surrounded by green lush rice fields. I felt safe and at ease with the very friendly locals and their fine food and organic juices are well worth searching out. Oskana is a very gracious host, and now friend and I feel privileged to have shared her beautiful paradise.

From the inspiring architecture of the house, the breathtaking views in every direction from our top floor bedroom, to the sounds of the geese and the smell of fresh grass in the morning- everything was serene and divine....almost dreamlike! We are so fortunate to have stayed at Oksana's house. It is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre, set in a beautiful, tranquil location in the middle of the rice-fields. So lovely to be so close to nature, every morning waking up there was amazing. Oksana was a very kind and helpful hostess, I cannot recommend her and the house enough. Everything was perfect!
