This is my home, I live a life between yoga and creative projects. Im happy to help with questions, to share a meal, to share some tips. My passion is living a healthy lifestyle, and living life to the max.
There are some great walks around the rice fields too. The house is cleaned every 2nd day, laundry can be picked up and delivered and any other special arrangements can be arranged
I have a bicycle you are free to use and I can also arrange for you to rent a scooter from our laundry lady. Otherwise there are drivers nearby, or walking into town is also a treat through the village
I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Oksana's place. She was very welcoming helpful and flexible. Her down to earth and open minded personality helped me feel at home and peace. The place was beautiful and peaceful. I could see some fireflies flying over the rice paddies around the house and could hear some Gamelan music from somewhere. It was just magical. Highly recommended, if you are after peaceful downtime for your holiday.
Oksana was a very friendly and welcoming host. The pictures can't depict how amazing her place is. In the middle of the rice paddies the view is so stunning you can just sit for hours, watch and relax. You're woken up by the sounds of the countryside. You can realy feel close to nature there. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated. It's a 20 min walk to the centre of Ubud along a very charming and quiet road. But Oksana can help you to rent a scooter. She also organised our pick-up from the airport and told us about activities to do in the area. She also gave us some interesting information about the local community. We would love to be back to her place one day! Thank you Oksana!
Oksana was a welcoming, friendly host who helped us settle in without being intrusive. The room, villa, pool, view etc were all as lovely as depicted. We hired a motorscooter and it proved to be a fun, easy and inexpensive way to get around.
Oksana is a gracious and accommodating host! Her and her place provided me exactly what I needed to recover from the city noise of Semiyak (and in my year in general). The views of rice fields...spectacular--I could zone out and reflect endlessly from the balcony of my room. I wish I could have stayed longer. I connected instantly with Oksana--an out-of-town-friend of hers arrived and they included me their tasty organic salad lunch. To get into town I could have used her bicycle or she has a driver you can contact, but we both needed massages so we went together on her scooter and had lunch together afterwards. As a hostess myself, I know this isn't always common, but I felt like family and made a new friend! She let me know there is a great local restaurant down the road (great pork ribs), canopied among the trees and a juice shop even closer. I really enjoyed our conversations-- Oksana is well read, worldly, inspirational and very knowledgeable about Ubud. Staying there is really is a retreat in itself...
Oksana is a really nice and helpful person. House is situated in the middle of rice fields as described. The neighbourhood is quiet, nice and simple. The apartment and the pool are lovely.
Oksana’s place suited my husband, Rob and i perfectly. At around 2km out of the main street of Ubud, it is a good healthy walk or a $5 taxi ride to most places of interest. The room is large and well looked after. The bed very comfortable. We spent many hours on the wide balcony from which you have fantastic views of the surrounding rice paddies and the daily activities associated with them. Children flying kites, women working and laughing and chatting, dogs and roosters roaming.
Several eating places, run by local families provide healthy food a three minute walk away. The short walk from the main road is enough to quiet the sounds of motor bikes.
Oksana was very welcoming. She was very available to offer any assistance/ information we required, whether it be where to walk, where to eat or even the cultural underpinnings of the activities surrounding us. Right from the beginning she made it clear that we were all sharing the facilities, the kitchen, the pool and her living area if we chose. This made it very easy to use the kitchen, or swim in the pool when we desired to do so. At the same time she was respectful of our space and privacy.
We would definitely stay there again and recommend it strongly as a place to stay.
Oksana made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. A lovely, relaxing home to stay at. Wonderful, serene balcony overlooking rice paddies. Very good and reasonable places to eat close by. Refreshing pool to enjoy. Enjoyed every minute, hope to return sometime. Big thank you to Oksana for giving us her time and being so helpful and informative. Erica and David, Melbourne, australia
