Interaction with guests
This is my home, I live a life between yoga and creative projects. Im happy to help with questions, to share a meal, to share some tips. My passion is living a healthy lifestyle, and living life to the max.
There are some great walks around the rice fields too. The house is cleaned every 2nd day, laundry can be picked up and delivered and any other special arrangements can be arranged
Just ricefields to the horizon, and a few houses speckled by. Its a very quiet area. Depending on the season you will witness a cycle of rice and the activities around it. Perhaps the ducks might be here, or the tractors are churning up the mud. A special time is when they harvest the rice; the Balinese people work hard but are always happy and chatty.
I have a bicycle you are free to use. I can also arrange for you to rent a scooter from our laundry lady. Let me know before hand and we can make sure it's at the house for your arrival. Otherwise there are drivers nearby, or walking into town is also a treat through the village. Everyone is friendly and most people passing will ask if you want a taxi - Balinese people done walk so when they see someone walking they want to help out. Its under $5 to get into town by taxi and taxi-scooter is just a few dollars.
Other things to note
There are now 3 great cafe's just 2 minutes walk from the house, 2 of them are organic, cheap and cheerful so you will not be hungry. All are open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
The Secret Garden is a super sweet spot, just as the name suggest it has seating all over its garden, its run by a Japanese community that serve a Japanese fusion menu, best place for coffee as they have a proper machine. They grow most of their vegetables in the garden. Sandwiches, curries, sushi, a small raw food selection, salads and deserts.
AA Juicery makes organic juices - the green glow is a hit and have a good wholesome Indonesia food, and soups, they serve red rice and the coconut icecream is a good addiction.
Made Becik Warung - this was the first place opened on the street own and run by the sweetest Balinese family, always happy and cheerful to see returning customers, they have a solid reputation. All home meals, authentic Balinese cooking, they make everything from scratch and buy everything fresh from the markets in the mornings. Sip on a coconut and watch the world go by.
All 3 will also deliver to the house. And if you go either left or right of the street more places can be found further up!!

I am Australian and have been living in Bali for over four years. I work with underprivileged kids teaching yoga, and I have a documentary in the making. Im also currently working on yoga and raw food retreats here, and hope to assist people with healing journeys in the near future.I have two cats that roam in the hood. I love living in Indonesia and hope I can share some of my passion for the country with visitors.
