This is my home, I live a life between yoga and creative projects. Im happy to help with questions, to share a meal, to share some tips. My passion is living a healthy lifestyle, and living life to the max.
There are some great walks around the rice fields too. The house is cleaned every 2nd day, laundry can be picked up and delivered and any other special arrangements can be arranged
I have a bicycle you are free to use and I can also arrange for you to rent a scooter from our laundry lady. Otherwise there are drivers nearby, or walking into town is also a treat through the village
I immediately felt at home in Oksana's house and with Oksana herself. The pictures of her home are true to its specialness. And the view from the upstairs bedroom is so beautiful and peaceful. I wanted to spend much more time just soaking it all in. Also, the proximity and distance to Ubud were perfect - close enough to make it very easy to go in to town and yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and beauty of the area. I will be back!
The room in Oksana's house is absolutely amazing! Incredible rice field views from absolutely every side of the room, and yes, even from the bathroom as someone else mentioned before. It's a 5-star view! The house is beautiful, a bit out of town, but I used Oksana's bike to cycle there, takes about 15 minutes and it's a good workout:) This is a great place to stay if you are looking for something out of town, quiet and to experience how Ubud's expats live. The first restaurant, a local Warung.. has great cheap food and the friendliest staff!
Fue una muy linda experiencia, la casa es comoda, confortable y con muy buena onda. Disfrutamos cada dia. Muy recomendable
After four weeks in Oksana's beautiful home I can safely say it is the best place in ubud not to mind Bali! I have visited Bali over the past five years and have yet to find a host or a place that is so welcoming, homely and beautiful. The photos only give a glimpse of the stunning set up on offer. I was in Ubud for a four week yoga retreat and wanted to stay somewhere out of the main intensity of ubud. From before I arrived Oksana was in touch to make sure I had a driver to pick me up from the airport and she helped get me set up with a scooter the day I arrived. No to mention had a local phone with credit for me for my stay. She is an incredible person and during my time there was more like a great friend than a host. My fellow teaching friends from my class came to visit for lunch one day and all of them have taken details to book in for when they next visit ubud
Oksana and her house are just incredible. We had an amazing time in this lovely place next to Ubud. It so quite and charming, probably the best way to appreciate Bali's life.
It was really a great moment.
Oksana is a great host really helpful and an amazing person.
Oksana's House was just gorgeous. The master bedroom was breathtakingly beautiful, with nearly 360* views of the rice paddies. A stunning vista from every window (amazing price for what you get). It was 10 mins motorbike ride from the top of Ubud. At first we thought it was a bit inconvenient having to travel in/out, but quickly saw it as a blessing... so wonderful to get away from it all, and see the village life along the way. Oksana was lovely and gave us a few suggestions of some great local secrets...
We hired a brand new motorbike from Kadek, the cleaner for a cheap price. She was such a beautiful warm woman, who we will greatly miss. The only bad thing was that the kitchen, bed, bedroom and bathroom were really dirty... our sheets were stained and dirty with perfume and hair through it :/ sand and dirt on the floors, and the bathroom was left with soap scum, an old (used) cake of soap and plastic rubbish left in the shower caddy....yuck :/ we found a fresh sheets in the cupboard so we changed them... pillows were REALLY old and lumpy (and mouldy).... would I stay here again? Yes, but the place needs to be cleaned properly....
Oh and when you're arriving for the first time, it would be easier to find in the daylight, but Oksana's directions are really clear.
I am Australian and have been living in Bali for over four years. I work with underprivileged kids teaching yoga, and I have a documentary in the making. Im also currently working on yoga and raw food retreats here, and hope to assist people with healing journeys in the near future.I have two cats that roam in the hood. I love living in Indonesia and hope I can share some of my passion for the country with visitors.
