Interaction with Guests
This is my home, I live a life between yoga and creative projects. Im happy to help with questions, to share a meal, to share some tips. My passion is living a healthy lifestyle, and living life to the max.
There are some great walks around the rice fields too. The house is cleaned every 2nd day, laundry can be picked up and delivered and any other special arrangements can be arranged
Just ricefields to the horizon, and a few houses speckled by. Its a very quiet area. Depending on the season you will witness a cycle of rice and the activities around it. Perhaps the ducks might be here, or the tractors are churning up the mud. A special time is when they harvest the rice; the Balinese people work hard but are always happy and chatty.
I have a bicycle you are free to use. I can also arrange for you to rent a scooter from our laundry lady. Let me know before hand and we can make sure it's at the house for your arrival. Otherwise there are drivers nearby, or walking into town is also a treat through the village. Everyone is friendly and most people passing will ask if you want a taxi - Balinese people done walk so when they see someone walking they want to help out. Its under $5 to get into town by taxi and taxi-scooter is just a few dollars.
Other Things to Note
There are now 3 great cafe's just 2 minutes walk from the house, 2 of them are organic, cheap and cheerful so you will not be hungry. All are open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
The Secret Garden is a super sweet spot, just as the name suggest it has seating all over its garden, its run by a Japanese community that serve a Japanese fusion menu, best place for coffee as they have a proper machine. They grow most of their vegetables in the garden. Sandwiches, curries, sushi, a small raw food selection, salads and deserts.
AA Juicery makes organic juices - the green glow is a hit and have a good wholesome Indonesia food, and soups, they serve red rice and the coconut icecream is a good addiction.
Made Becik Warung - this was the first place opened on the street own and run by the sweetest Balinese family, always happy and cheerful to see returning customers, they have a solid reputation. All home meals, authentic Balinese cooking, they make everything from scratch and buy everything fresh from the markets in the mornings. Sip on a coconut and watch the world go by.
All 3 will also deliver to the house. And if you go either left or right of the street more places can be found further up!!
Great place to stay at! Its a quiet place but only five minutes to town with the scooter. Oksana is a wonderful host who gave us a warm welcome and the room was really nice!
Oksana is a passionate host!I could feel the positive vibe in her lovely villa! One of the best villa surrounded by the pure nature: the rice fields by the balcony was so stunning! We also loved her calm and cute kitty cat spending the day with us by the balcony :-) If you love nature and living in a real way of life, I recommend Oksana's Villa!
I had the best 2 weeks in ubud at Oksana's place. The room is big, very luminous and the balcony on the rice fields is just the best thing ever! The whole house is very nice, 5 minute scooter from the Main Street and still located such in a peaceful area. I was glad I did not stay in the centre.. Oksana is very helpful and she respects your space so everyone has its own privacy, it's just perfect! I would recommend her place to anybody and will definitely go back very soon!!! Thanks again oksana!!
I really enjoyed the time l spent in Oksana place, it is very quiet and the landscape is amazing. Oksana is a nice and helpful person, I felt very confortable staying there, only few kms from the town and easy access.
I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Oksana's place. She was very welcoming helpful and flexible. Her down to earth and open minded personality helped me feel at home and peace. The place was beautiful and peaceful. I could see some fireflies flying over the rice paddies around the house and could hear some Gamelan music from somewhere. It was just magical. Highly recommended, if you are after peaceful downtime for your holiday.
Oksana was a very friendly and welcoming host. The pictures can't depict how amazing her place is. In the middle of the rice paddies the view is so stunning you can just sit for hours, watch and relax. You're woken up by the sounds of the countryside. You can realy feel close to nature there. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated. It's a 20 min walk to the centre of Ubud along a very charming and quiet road. But Oksana can help you to rent a scooter. She also organised our pick-up from the airport and told us about activities to do in the area. She also gave us some interesting information about the local community. We would love to be back to her place one day! Thank you Oksana!
Oksana was a welcoming, friendly host who helped us settle in without being intrusive. The room, villa, pool, view etc were all as lovely as depicted. We hired a motorscooter and it proved to be a fun, easy and inexpensive way to get around.
