Wake up on the water in this private Lake Coeur d’Alene retreat tucked into beautiful Neachen Bay. With 69 ft of waterfront, a private dock with covered boat slip, paddle boards, Starlink WiFi, and unforgettable sunset views, this is the perfect North Idaho escape. Spend your days on the lake and your evenings grilling on the Blackstone or relaxing on the oversized deck above the water. Just 20 minutes from downtown CDA by car or 10 minutes by boat. 65 stairs to the home — the view is worth it.

The space
Perched above the shoreline with sweeping views of Lake Coeur d’Alene, this waterfront retreat is the kind of place you’ll remember long after your stay. From morning coffee on the deck to sunset dinners overlooking the water, every space is designed to take full advantage of the view.

When you arrive, you’ll have parking for up to 3 vehicles. The home is accessed by a staircase with 65 steps down to the front door — but once you see the lake open up in front of you, you’ll understand why guests say the view is absolutely worth it. The beach and private dock area are located just steps from the parking area, making it easy to spend your days on the water.

Inside, the home welcomes you with panoramic lake views the moment you walk through the door. The kitchen features a wall of windows overlooking the water, and French doors lead directly onto more than 300 sq ft of outdoor deck space. With plenty of seating for family dinners, morning coffee, or evening wine at sunset, the deck quickly becomes everyone’s favorite spot. You’ll also find a Blackstone griddle on the deck — perfect for lakeside breakfasts, smash burgers, and easy outdoor dinners with a view.

The home is equipped with high-speed Starlink WiFi, giving you reliable internet whether you’re streaming, working remotely, or staying connected during your trip.

Down at the dock, you’ll find a built-in YETI cooler ready for lake days, sunset drinks, and afternoons spent by the water. Take advantage of the paddle boards included with the home and start your mornings with a peaceful ride across the lake to Hutton’s General Store for coffee, breakfast, or ice cream. It’s one of our favorite ways to enjoy the lake and a unique experience guests always remember.

You will have access to the entire house, the beach and the dock! This waterfront home is perfect for family vacations!

Other things to note
The home is accessed by approximately 65 stairs from the parking area. Guests should be comfortable with stairs, especially when carrying luggage and supplies. The elevation helps position the home slightly above neighboring properties, adding a nice sense of privacy while relaxing on the deck.

The waterfront, beach, and dock are located below the parking area and are completely private for guest use only.

The dock includes a covered boat slip for guest use. The slip accommodates boats up to 22’ without a wake tower. If your boat has a wake tower, you can use the exterior cleats, and the dock can accommodate boats up to approximately 26’. Neachen Bay is known for its calm, protected waters, making it ideal for docking and water activities.

Paddle boards are provided for guest enjoyment (use at your own risk; life jackets recommended).

Grocery delivery via Instacart is available to the home. If guests include a tip and clearly note the 65 stairs in their order, deliveries can be brought directly to the front door, helping make arrival and your stay more convenient and hassle-free.

Hutton’s General Store is just 1 mile from the home and perfect for last-minute groceries, beverages, ice cream, and homemade sandwiches — an easy and convenient stop during your stay.

The home is located in Neachen Bay, approximately 20–25 minutes from downtown Coeur d’Alene by car or about 10 minutes by boat.

Starlink WiFi is available for high-speed internet access, though occasional weather-related interruptions can occur in extreme conditions typical of lakefront environments.

Guests love the privacy, views, and direct lake access — it feels like a true hidden retreat on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
