I would like to welcome you to stay at my apartment in the heart of South Beach. It is a fully furnished 3 story walk up with 2 big bedrooms for south beach & 2 baths. The rooms are truly two separate bedrooms. I am often asked this because it's common to find a 2 bedroom in south beach that is really a 1/1 with two beds in a room or in a den space without walls and doors. But my lovely bright beautiful apartment is two real bedrooms.
You will enjoy the best of both worlds because you will be located in the heart of South Beach just steps from everything that South Beach has t offer. The balcony practically over looks the famous Lincoln Road Mall - where you can find a large movie complex, shopping stores of every variety, restaurants, bars, and art galleries.
Attractions like the Lincoln Road Theater, The Miami Beach Convention Center, The Fillmore Theater, & The Miami Beach Soundscape are no more than 3 blocks away. You will to enjoy the craziness of South Beach but get to come home to a cozy apartment.
The famous views of South Beach are only 3 blocks to the east and public transportation is readily available. Taxis are easy to flag down and are constantly passing. The 25 cent bus and the Miami-Dade Metrobus both have stops that are 1 block away. There is also a DecoBike station right outside my apartment where you can rent beach cruisers by the hour with a simple debit card.
My 2 bedroom apartment on South Beach has everything you my need during your stay. A TV with cable & wifi, 2 queen sized beds that come equipped with extra linen, and plenty of closet space. The kitchen has pots and pans, cooking utensils, and the usual appliances. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers on the 1st floor and take quarters. Unfortunately, there is a strict policy against pets in my building.
Getting around: Everything is walkable, bikeable, or a small taxi fare. From MIA airport take the '150 Airport Flyer' bus for $2.35. In only 40 minutes it will drop you off 3 blocks from here. The 25 cent 'South Beach Local' bus can help transport you around the neighborhood with frequent stops. The city's "Deco Bike" rental program has a location just across the street. This is a fun and cost effective mode of transportation around the beach; I highly recommend it to take in the sights at a slower pace.
Parking: A patrolled and secure garage is 1 block away on 17th/Lincoln Rd for $1/hr to a daily maximum of $20. I maybe able to provide street guest parking passes upon request and availability. Please message me for more details.

We had a great stay at James' and Jenn's apartment. The location is unbeatable: literally 1 minute to Lincoln Rd. Mall with tons of shops and restaurants. The apartment is quite nice, lots of light lots of space.
The contact with James and Jenn was most pleasant and uncomplicated. We came in a little early and they went out of their way to get the apartment ready for us as soon as possible and even helped us to carry up our baggage.
Thanks for the great stay!
This is really a great situated location! It is so close to Lincoln Road and the beach. After having made the booking we were in contact with James about our stay, he helped us with parking permissions and other questions. We felt comfortable and secure having chosen the correct stay. He also gave us the best tipps for great restaurants. We really enjoyed it! Thank you James!!!
The apartment is in an absolutely great area - just a minute walk away from Lincoln Road and a few minutes from the beach. Jenn and James have been very good hosts - everything was easygoing and as described.
We really enjoyed staying there - thanks a lot!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
First, the number James provide as a contact # was not his own number. I was shocked and confused when I called and was sent to a woman's voicemail. I messaged him over airBnB to see if perhaps he has made a mistake. The women text back asking who I was; after she determined I was a guest she said she was his girlfriend. I was never able to get in contact with James and confirm. James was NOT responsive at all and I could not get in contact with him thru any medium. ***I was put in an uncomfortable position to trust an unknown party.*** I was in communication with Jen only. When I tried to call James, the number went straight to voicemail.
Prior to our stay, James promised that he would secure a parking permit for us. After we arrived, Jen texted us and told us that she will stop by to provide us with things for our stay (Beach towel, toilet paper etc.) She asked if we could meet at 1PM and never showed up and was unresponsive to phone calls and text. We communicated to her that we were at the beach but were willing to meet with her if she needed us to meet her there. We waited at the apt until 2PM. It disrupted our time at the beach and was in vain because we did not get the items we need for our stay. We bought our own beach towels and toilet paper. We also had to pay for parking because they never gave the promised parking permit. I feel mislead about the amenities that were promised.
On our final day, I asked if we could check out late (2pm). She said it was not possible because she has another guest coming in at 3PM and she needed to clean up the apt. She said that we could leave our things in the closet until 2PM. We packed up our things and placed them in the closet. Waited until 11:20 for Jen to show up. I called twice and it rang until it went voicemail. I text her that we will be leaving and we will come back at 2PM to pick up our bags. She said that she was running late from a meeting and will be there shortly. When we returned at 2PM the apt was not cleaned and she was nowhere to be found. We officially vacated the apt at 2:30PM and she was still not there. We stayed around the extra time because we did not want to leave the apt unlocked and unsecured. We had a flight to catch and could not stay any longer. As a host, both did not represent themselves or Airbnb well. Essentially after we paid for our stay, communication from the host was minimal and little effort was put in to make us feel comfortable. I was surprised because James previously received rave reviews. Perhaps our timing was off.
This review is completely incorrect and we would like to clarify. Unfortunately there was many communication problems with Ariana. To address her first complaint about speaking to Jenn; We make it very clear with all our guest and you can see in all our other reviews that My girlfriend Jenn and I work together. ALSO, the number provided is also the main number listed on our listing, its Jenn's number.
As far as not being able to contact me that is completely incorrect. I spoke with the gentleman Ariana sent to collect the keys who never showed up and Ariana.
We did provide parking passes to this guest as we always do when requested. She didnt receive it the first say because her extremely late arrival time.
*** THE ONLY PERSON PUT IN AN UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION WAS US, THE HOST ***
Our check-in time is 3pm and Ariana had someone other than her contact us, who said he would meet us at 4:30 to get the keys. Normally, we do NOT give anyone access to our house other than the guest we spoke with during the booking, but we were trying to be understanding and helpful for her, so we did. At 5:30 no one contacted us and when we did finally get in contact with the guy he said he was still very far away. This was a problem because we had to work. Still trying to be helpful we then set up a easy check in for by giving them access to the apartment without us there. **which is something we never ever like to do** The guest arrived around midnight and we never got to personally check them in.. She also asked while emailing about the booking if we provided beach towels and shower amenities. Therefore, We placed shower amenities in the apartment. We did not provided beach towels, and informed her of it,but provided regular towels for her. It seems this wasn't enough. We attempted to drop a few other items off to her during her stay but unfortunately our work schedule didn't allow it. When it came time to check out she last min requested a late check out. We did have another booking arriving so we couldn't provided it but once again trying to be as helpful as possible we offered for her to keep her things in the apartment until 2pm so she could spend the day out and not worry about her things. The guest who was checking in after her had a flight cancelled and didn't arrive so when Ariana returned to collect her things and saw no one was there was annoyed that we didn't allow her "late check out" although, we did allow her to leave her things. All in all we are very happy and positive hosts and did all we could to accommodate Ariana. She was a complicated guest with communication. More Importantly, she did not call the way she expressed in her review. Please take the time to read our other reviews and it is very clear that we do all we can to assist and keep wonderful communication with our guest. We take a lot of pride in helping people have a wonderful experience when they travel to Miami and take every review into consideration. Everyday we learn from a previous guest review and do things to make our home better for the next guest.
We stayed for five nights in James's 2 BR South Beach condo. We had a very good experience, but I would like to highlight a few things for the benefit of other users looking to rent a condo.
Positives: The location of this condo is IDEAL. It's less than a block from the Lincoln Road Mall (a pedestrian street with tons of restaurants and shops) and within walking distance to the beach (about 4-5 blocks). The condo itself is on the top floor (third story) in the front of the building, with nice views to the west. The rooms are smallish, but the layout makes the most of the space, with a decent kitchen, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms. James and his girlfriend Jenn kept in touch throughout our stay and were responsive to any concerns that came up. The Wi-Fi internet in the condo worked flawlessly. I've stayed in other condos where the Wi-Fi is sketchy, so I appreciated that a lot.
Negatives: If you have a car, parking is very tight, even with the parking passes James provides. We rented a car for just two days of our stay so we could drive to other beaches. So much is within walking distance, so if you can avoid having a car, that would be good. The condo, itself, is in a fairly old building that is in good shape but the condo could use a little TLC as far as some basic maintenance. There were some minor issues, but nothing that affected the quality of our experience.
Overall, I enjoyed staying in this condo and renting from James. I would stay here again if I had the chance.
James was beyond nice and accommodating. The place was cute and comfy. You really can't ask for a better location in South Beach.
We had a wondeful time at James's place. Location was brilliant and the apartment was nice and clean (just like the pictures). James was great and very helpful and I can certainly recommend his place.
My stay in Miami was great. James was a great host. Had everything I needed and his place was very clean. I plan to use his place again.
Apartment was as described. Having two bathrooms was nice. James lived nearby and was responsive to requests.
