Accommodations were clean and the bed was comfortable enough although it didn't look anything like the photo listed. We got there in the evening and were happy that we felt safe with the police across the street. The next morning we met Rosie, the manager, who was very helpful and accommodating. The continental breakfast was toast, coffee, and cereal in the communal dining area where we met other lovely people staying there. We will return
I will say one name and one name only-LUCY! She made my stay and accomodation MEMORABLE! She went as far as to welcome me to her Christmad dinner-Tequila and roasted Turkey....It was very sweet and unexpected. She has a great attitude and gives good suggestions for places to visit. I appreciate the clean room and my private bathroom. The price is perfect and location is ideal esp. when you want to see all of the major galleries and historical buildings. I would stay here again and I had a wonderful visit in Guadalajara.
The two main things that made this stay a good one for me were the location and the caretaker, Lucy. I was in Mexico to visit the Lake Chapala area, and I thought I should stay in Guadalajara for a few days while I had the opportunity. Being near the central downtown area was of great value to me, as I could walk downtown from there, and could even walk to the central bus station from there when I left for Chapala (about a mile). It is on a downtown side street in a mainly residential area, so the noise at night is limited. The room and the courtyard were comfortable. Both Lucy and Alejandro were accommodating and willing to do what they could to help make my stay in Guadalajara more satisfying.
A wonderful stay at Olga Querida B&B hostel. Our room was lovely and had a beautiful balcony. We even were able to use the phone for a local call and all our questions were answered. We greatly appreciate how fast and easy it was to make plans last minute and have a lovely home awaiting us. Gracias!!!
Our experience was excellent. Lucy was our hostess and made sure we had everything we needed from the moment we arrived until the time we left. They gave us a room with two double beds put together. She helped us navigate Guadalajara, recommended restaurants, shopping ares and sightseeing tours. The BnB is conveniently located in the historic district of downtown Guadalajara; everything is in walking distance. Make sure you stay here!
