Thanks so much for choosing us and our home as your home away from home while visiting or working in Chicago:)
My friend and I have been on a road trip. We contacted Chris and Stephanie with a spontaneous request. Despite the short notice and the fact that they had just got home from traveling themselves, they accepted our request! Chris and Stephanie were very gracious hosts and gave us great advice for what to we could do in the area. Our listing gave us great access to CTA. This location is also within close proximity to great dining locales. This was my friend's first Airbnb experience and now he is hooked! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay with Chris and Stephanie again.
They are so nice
If got any question they always will help
They also suggest good restaurant
And it was really good
And location was very good
Near downtown also near airport
My stay with Chris and Stephanie was great! I needed a place to stay but everything was booked because of a music festival. I messaged them through airbnb and I quickly got a respons. The communication with them was very good. They were very welcoming when I got there. They explained me thinga about the city and how to get to different sights, really helpful! Chris and Stephanie are really nice and friendly people, and they are willing to help you with everything. Their dog is great too, very sweet (and I'm not even a dog person hehe). The house is exactly as on the pictures. They have good beds, a really nice couch to hang and a big kitchen. There are also other people staying there, so its nice to talk to other travellers. I would def recommend this place to everyone!
Everything was great. Very easy going, nice people in a beautiful part of Chicago. I only stayed one night but I would absolutely stay there again... Go Pokes!
chambre très petite pour 4 personnes.
hote tres souriant et attentif .aux besoins des locatires.
quartier calme, pas trop loin du centre ville de chicago.
We have a true affinity for French guests thanks to our fantastic first Airbnb guest so when this group contacted us during one of the busiest weeks of the year in Chicago-The Restaurant Show-we wished to do our best to accommodate them. We did have some minor communication struggles so our interaction was sadly a bit limited but always pleasant. Unfortunately, Chicago was still experiencing winter weather when they arrived and although they weren't prepared for it, we had our extra jackets, coats, hats, gloves and scarves to loan:) Just toward the end of their trip, it warmed up a bit and they were able to enjoy some relaxing time out on the decks.
I had stayed with Chris and Stephanie before and knew what to expect. I brought my daughter on a college hunting extravaganza. Well as before this is the place to find yourself. We managed to even go out to dinner and a show. I just can't say enough. Oh and Chris's beef jerky is out of this world. Give Penny some hugs and be well. I look forward to my next trip.
Renting from Chris and Stephanie in the past, I knew that my experience would be a great one. They're always very friendly, helpful, and make sure their guests are welcome and comfortable.
Chris was even nice enough to help dig my car out of the snow when it was time for me to leave!

Hello Fellow Traveler!
We welcome you to our Airbnb listing and appreciate that you wish to learn more about us as your potential hosts. We enjoy meeting new people and look forward to sharing with you what we love about Chicago:)
Why have we opened our home?
We arrived about 4 summers ago for a 3 day business trip, fell in love with Chicago and never left. This is our 4th summer! Since we are both adventurous spirits, with some trepidation, we tried this thing called "AirBNB". We had such a great experience because of our host; we thought we would pay it forward.
What has been our favorite experience hosting so far? Lollapalooza:)
Who are we?
Chris and I met in High School and reconnected on the site that begins with Face and ends with Book a couple of years ago. We think we have quite the love story that resulted in a proposal a few years back and would be happy to share it with you on one of your relaxing evenings on our deck or over a cup coffee while you are sorting out your travels for the day-but we promise not to bore you with it!
What are we doing here?
After we reunited, we had the amazing opportunity to become Environmental Stewards for a wonderful company that brought us to Chicago. One of our company's core values is to stimulate the local economy, find other Environmental Stewards like ourselves and train them for leadership roles. (Another great story if you are out of sorts from your trip and can't sleep one nite-and of course care to hear it:) )
What we think about ourselves as hosts?
We pride ourselves in being open and available hosts for a chat, a recommendation, throwing darts, a game of scrabble or an impromptu cook out or s'mores on the fire pit but we also completely respect your privacy and understand this is your trip. We only wish to ensure your travels are more than you would have hoped for thru spending time at our home and meeting other guests.
Where have we been?
Chris is an Army Brat and has lived all over the States and I have traveled around Europe while living in Madrid, Spain for 3 years.
Places Chris has lived:
He spent his youth in San Antonio, Hawaii, Denver, Colorado Springs and Maryland (the DC area). As an adult, he lived in Kansas City for a bit, he settled for many years in Norman, Oklahoma (if you've heard of it), Dallas/Ft. Worth, back to Maryland (to get me;)) and now Chicago.
Places Chris has traveled to:
Boston and other parts of Massachusetts in which he has tons of family and for our business, all over New Jersey (our company has a HUGE presence there and helped tremendously with the Hurricane Sandy clean up), many parts of PA (we really enjoyed our time in Pittsburgh), Philly a few times (best sandwiches we have found yet!) and many more.
Stephanie lived most of her life in the Maryland area traveling for work in the DC and Virginia areas but joining her friends on their business trips in the States to visit as many cities as possible. Of course, the fun-damentals like Las Vegas, Miami Beach (along with many other Florida cities that my family lives such as Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Jacksonville) and NYC. More relaxing fun in Savannah, GA; Myrtle Beach, SC (where my mom has retired), Portland, OR, Phoenix, AZ (where my brother used to live), San Diego and Coronado (a couple of times since they are some of my favorite), Hawaii (to see the first grandchild in our family), L.A. (had the opportunity to cruise Monterey's 17 mile drive)...
Stephanie's European Travels: Of course many of the big cities like Paris (the food!), Munich (best airport ever!), Frankfurt, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Malaga, Bilbao, Gothenburg, Sweden (for a dear friends wedding), but also some off of the beaten path that became my very favorite memories like Morocco, Tunisia and more....
Places we will go: Brazil, Fiji, South America, Canada....
Our recent travels together: We recently finished an extended road trip and stayed at several Airbnb homes. Our travels took us first to Chris' families in Norman, Oklahoma onto Albuquerque; from there to Phoenix to our ultimate destination-San Felipe, Mexico where we booked 3 different homes one of which was exceptional. We included some side excursions to Coronado, California, Ensenada and Rosarito, Mexico where we stayed in an AMAZING home and had some fantastic food. On our return, we were fortunate enough to also stay in a Villa with OUTSTANDING views in Sedona, California.
