Linda and the Takei's were very welcoming. The house is not far from the airport (about a 15 min drive) and the room was cute as well as comfortable. Firm bed, clean and clean bathroom. They also gave us breakfast! I'd definitely consider coming back here again next time I'm in Portland. Thank you for making our vacation that much sweeter!!

We had a lovely stay at Linda's! The room is excellent- we found the bed and pillows comfy. Having our own bathroom was such a plus! Linda is wonderful to talk with and provided a lovely breakfast- Dave is still talking about that Irish bread. Her place is close to the I5 and other neighbourhoods so we had no trouble getting to where we wanted to go. We would stay here again.
The host was great! I love the location, too! Walking distance to the Tri-Max and easy access to the highway. And if you like to walk, there are great restaurants near by.
Linda is a very gracious, kind women, she invites you into her home and makes you feel welcome immediately. She prepares a delicious breakfast for you is is very accommodating to your schedule. I enjoyed getting to know Linda while visiting, we shared breakfast together one morning. Her place is very clean and attractive, I had a comfortable sleep in the bed. The bathroom is wonderful with soft towels and rugs. I really liked the neighborhood because my dear friends live 4 blocks away and I was surprising my friend for her Birthday. I would definitely stay at Linda's again.
This was the perfect place for me! I was visiting my niece who lived about 3 blocks away so staying with Linda was so convenient and let me get to now the area better. Room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast and Linda was very flexible with my plans. Friendly and fun conversations balanced with privacy.
Linda was a great host! Her beautiful touches to the room and bathroom made the place feel very warm and welcoming. The bed was super comfy and a nice place to return to home base after sight seeing. Each morning Linda served delicious breakfasts, it was lovely to chat and get to know her (as well as meet Stormy!). She also gave great recommendations depending on my interests.
The sleepy neighbourhood was a reasonable location to see different parts of Portland for those comfortable walking around to get to public transport. The MAX trains were really convenient, & if you don't mind giving/taking 5 mins the buses were another option.
Thanks for a great stay in Portland!
Linda was a great and welcoming host! Her and her dog stormy were extremely friendly. Linda gave us great recommendations and the breakfast she cooked was wonderful. The home was very clean and nearby a max rail station. I would highly recommend people to stay with her!
I live in a lovely area near downtown Portland. I am a watercolor artist and enjoy shape and color and how it lights up my life. I have the world's best dog, Stormy, who is a standard poodle. I've lived in Canada and Germany as well as several places in the United States. I love to travel and look forward to meeting people from around the world. When the wall came down in Germany, I loved to travel into the eastern zone and listen to conversations of people in the cusp of transition. I recently saw the movie, The Butler, and loved it. Foreign movies, reading, especially those set in areas of the world that are unfamiliar to me, are my favorites. I love to cook, so come join me around my table and in my cozy home.
