Linda had to go out of town when we stayed, but she prepared the room in great condition for us. It was very comfortable. She asked her friends Marje and Dick to host us, and they were very friendly and accommodating. Her dog was very quiet and well-behaved. This was one of my best Airbnb experiences, and I would surely stay at Linda's place when I visit Portland again!
We had such an awesome time at Linda's place. Linda is such a great host, I would even say she's the best host you can have. We immediately felt like home because everything is so cute and beautiful at her place. Things are done with so much love. Linda's breakfast was super delicious as well. She also had some really great tips on what to do in Portland and therefore we got to see some amazing places! There are some nice restaurants and a grocery store in the neighbourhood which was perfect.
We had a lovely time with Linda, we were talking so much with each other and we even watched a film together. It was so nice to hang around with you. We are sad that we only stayed there for 2 nights because we would have loved to spend more time with Linda and her cute dog Stormy in this beautiful place.
I would highly recommend this place!! Thank you so much Linda :)
We are frequent visitors to Portland and this time we knew we wanted to stay in the Overlook area (great location, by the way!). The space was exactly as pictured/described and we were provided everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe with easy access to downtown and walking distance to some great coffee shops and restaurants. Best of all, Linda and Stormy were very welcoming hosts! Each morning, Linda prepared us a delicious breakfast and gave us some excellent recommendations on things to see (and eat!) in Portland. We highly recommend staying at Linda's!
I loved Linda's Urban Sanctuary! It's located in a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. It's also very convenient since it's close to the MAX train station (about 10-minute's walk). Linda is very responsible, warm and friendly. I also loved her cute dog! Her organic vegetarian breakfast was so good and I can't wait to visit her again!
The accommodations were perfect, more than I was expecting. Linda was great very personable and friendly. She was a great help in suggesting places to eat and visit. Our trip was a great because of all of Linda's help. Linda also helped start the day off great by providing a healthy delicious breakfast. Her dog was very friendly and most of the time not even noticed. Hope to be able to come back to Portland and stay with here again.
About the Host, Linda
I live in a lovely area near downtown Portland. I am a watercolor artist and enjoy shape and color and how it lights up my life. I have the world's best dog, Stormy, who is a standard poodle. I've lived in Canada and Germany as well as several places in the United States. I love to travel and look forward to meeting people from around the world. When the wall came down in Germany, I loved to travel into the eastern zone and listen to conversations of people in the cusp of transition. I recently saw the movie, The Butler, and loved it. Foreign movies, reading, especially those set in areas of the world that are unfamiliar to me, are my favorites. I love to cook, so come join me around my table and in my cozy home.
