Linda was a great and welcoming host! Her and her dog stormy were extremely friendly. Linda gave us great recommendations and the breakfast she cooked was wonderful. The home was very clean and nearby a max rail station. I would highly recommend people to stay with her!
Linda and Stormy, her poodle, greeted us with a warm welcome and her picture perfect neighborhood was the ideal stay for this portland getaway. She was a gracious hostess and was very attentive during our stay. She was sweet enough to make a hearty, delicious breakfast in the mornings for us. The room/bathroom were clean and comfortable!
The location was great, a short drive to Downtown, Forest Park, and many other delicious eateries, and bars.
Linda and her place are both wonderful! We felt so comfortable in every way. Linda is a very good manager and she has thought through all the details like a pro. You could never get a more thoughtful stay. We slept very well on the bed, the bathroom and everything else was spic and span and I really liked the decor. The place is convenient to downtown and all parts of the city. And the breakfasts were delicious, varied and healthy. We stayed four nights and each was just right.
A great experience. Linda was a welcoming and generous host. The room was comfortable and nicely private for a shared home. She offered great local suggestions and made us delicious breakfast, too! Overall, a great trip.
We went to experience quintessential Portland, and we found it with Linda. Her home? Our room? Quaint (though, the bed is a tad firm). Her breakfasts? Better than their description. Linda and Stormy? Better than my description. An ideal host, Linda. I value conversation and that connection, and those are what we encountered.
Wonderful host. Very welcoming. Gave great recommendations on restaurants and sites to visit. Linda's dog was very friendly and fun to play with. The accommodations were as described. Very clean. The bedroom is comfortable and has ample blankets and pillows plus cable TV and wireless internet. The bathroom is private and well stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is located within walking distance of public transportation. We would love to stay with Linda again!
Our stay at Linda's was fantastic! great host, great house, great dog! the room was very nicely decorated and the bed was pretty comfortable. Linda was really thoughtful and offered to cook us breakfast every morning. thanks Linda!
I live in a lovely area near downtown Portland. I am a watercolor artist and enjoy shape and color and how it lights up my life. I have the world's best dog, Stormy, who is a standard poodle. I've lived in Canada and Germany as well as several places in the United States. I love to travel and look forward to meeting people from around the world. When the wall came down in Germany, I loved to travel into the eastern zone and listen to conversations of people in the cusp of transition. I recently saw the movie, The Butler, and loved it. Foreign movies, reading, especially those set in areas of the world that are unfamiliar to me, are my favorites. I love to cook, so come join me around my table and in my cozy home.
