We really enjoyed our stay in Portland. Linda was a gracious host making us feel welcome in her home. The breakfast she made was delicious using fresh ingredients from her garden. She was knowledgable about Portland and gave us advise for restaurants close by. We especially enjoyed the conversations that covered a wide range of topics.
My wife and I stayed with Linda for 2 nights during our visit to Portland. She is an amazing and a most generous host and had lots of fantastic tips about how to get the most from our stay. Her dog, Stormy, is the sweetest dog we have ever met and we only wish we could have stayed longer! We would wholeheartedly recommend staying with Linda.
My wife and I were welcomed with open arms and felt extreme,y comfortable the entire time. The neighborhood was quiet and had a number of restaurants and bars.
Linda is a phenomenal, accommodating host! Her home is warm, cozy, and welcoming. The guest room is just as lovely as it is in photos, as is the rest of her home and garden. We loved her delicious breakfasts (best omelette ever). And while, I'm a bit of a shy person, but Linda made me feel at ease. We had some very enriching conversations with her that really added to my enjoyment of the trip. I learned so much! Stormy is also an amazingly congenial and intelligent poodle, whom we are so happy to have met. I have already recommended her to many of my friends and colleagues. If I ever return to Portland, I hope I can stay at Linda's urban sanctuary.
When I met Linda I instantly knew she would be a phenomenal host. She didn't let me down. I came to Portland in search of comedy open mics and she sent me links to shows I could attend. She also directed me to tasty restaurants in her neighborhood. I would also like to say that her dog is prettier than me. I think it's the hair. Anyway, Stormy the beautiful poodle was kind enough to welcome me into her home as well. I will definitely book my future stays in Portland with Linda again, and again.
Everything is perfect!
The room is cozy and neat. The living room and the kitchen is well-organized.
Linda is so kind and she knows everything good in Portland! You can ask her where to go and restaurants to eat. Her recommendations are so good!
Stormy is a good dog! She is elegant! You will be happy to stay with them!
She was the greatest host in every aspects. My wife and I were totally satisfied with everything Linda severed for us. Especially, we were very happy with breakfast she prepared, besides that, we were more happier for us to talk with her during breakfast. Thanks to her recommendation, we could enjoy the exceptional scenery on the way to Multnomah fall. If you are planning to visit Portland, I strongly recommend Linda's 'The urban sanctuary' without hesitation. She and the great dog 'Stormy' made Portland more impressive.
About the Host, Linda
I live in a lovely area near downtown Portland. I am a watercolor artist and enjoy shape and color and how it lights up my life. I have the world's best dog, Stormy, who is a standard poodle. I've lived in Canada and Germany as well as several places in the United States. I love to travel and look forward to meeting people from around the world. When the wall came down in Germany, I loved to travel into the eastern zone and listen to conversations of people in the cusp of transition. I recently saw the movie, The Butler, and loved it. Foreign movies, reading, especially those set in areas of the world that are unfamiliar to me, are my favorites. I love to cook, so come join me around my table and in my cozy home.
