Beach hide out... is a great location! The apartment is close to everything including shops, bars, and the beach. I would definitely book the apartment again. Our host, Özlem, runs a small business out of the garden walkway, so we were able to meet her too. She was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Ozlem's Beach Hide Out and absolutely loved it. In fact, we didn't want to leave. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The living room and kitchen opened up to a beautiful patio where I drank coffee and read my book every morning. Besides the place being super cute, it was convenient. Just 1 block from Mission Beach and 1 block from the delicious coffee (Better Buzz).
Great little spot super close to the beach! It's adorably decorated and is nifty in the fact that Ozlem made great use of the space. When I walked in it was a bit smaller than I had envisioned - but it didn't matter at all. Outdoor patio space was wonderful - we spent a lot of our time out there. Parking was a bit harder than I had hoped for, but was manageable. We were able to find street parking at night, and then had to move our car by 8am - there was a huge open parking lot just behind the Beach Hide Out that had all day free parking (just no parking from 4am-6am). All in all a great place, very clean, has all the amenities you need, and is in a great area by the beach, lots of cafes, restaurants etc.
This place was okay.
Not a ton of space, so it wasn't ideal for my girlfriend, me, and our month's worth of luggage, but I'm sure it would be fine if you just have a carry-on or two. The area got very loud and collegey for 4th of July weekend, but it settled down afterward. It got really humid at times and we really wished there was AC, especially at night, but it wouldn't really fit with the motif of the place.
The location is great for beach days. In between the bay and the ocean, it isn't directly on the beach, but it's probably a lot cheaper than the places you see along the boardwalk. There are some decent restaurants and a great coffee place less than five minutes away.
The apartment itself is eclectic. The kitchen is small, but actually very efficiently laid out and the cooking utensils are decent. There was tea, some coffee, and condiments provided by the owner, which was nice. There was only about a half a roll of toilet paper in the house when we got there, but one call to Jenny got more TP delivered later in the day.
She was super helpful throughout our stay.
The bathroom was interesting and reminded us of traditional bathrooms in China, where the shower drains into the floor. There wasn't much space for cosmetics in the bathroom, but we made due.
The livingroom/bar stool area was a nice place to chill and watch tv or eat breakfast, and we really enjoyed the outdoor dining area. We had access to the grill outside and took full advantage of it on multiple occasions.
Parking was very difficult and I would recommend not bringing a car if you can possibly help it. The amount of time we spent driving around for parking spots ranged from fifteen minutes to over half an hour and we frequently had to park at the yacht club about a ten minute walk away.
Overall, it was a decent place to stay. My girlfriend thought it was a little too rustic, but I think it would be great for a solo traveler/couple looking for a simple beach vacation.
Great place, perfect location and close to everything. We will definately be back.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy home. Everything we could want was right outside the front door.
We did rent a car and found it really inconvenient to find parking. Other than that our stay was wonderful!
What else can I say than: WOW !!! Everything, really everything was perfect. Beginning from the communication, the friendly onsite Support from Jenny and last but not least the gorgeous Beach Hideout Apartment. We LOVED to stay there.
