There is an airiness to this dome-shaped hut. Light streams in from the skylight directly overhead. It is located in a sunny clearing across the creek from the other homes, a short walk from the outhouse and a well where you can fill your water bottles with fresh spring water. Take a walk across the road to Seal Cove Pond and the mountain trails of Acadia. Bike less than 3 miles down the Cape road to an ocean picnic spot with a beautiful sunset view.

The space
A short distance from Southwest Harbor, our huts in the middle of a spruce forest are not only a peaceful place to stay, but they also give our guests a very rustic experience. A cozy stove and a lofted bed make for a great winter experience. You can open the door, put on your snow shoes and be on your way! In the summer months there are near by lakes to cool off in after enjoying one of many local hikes.

Other things to note
We suggest bringing a headlamp for night walks around the property or to the outhouse.

We welcome dogs! Please keep in mind that we have dogs as well. We ask that your dogs be friendly with other dogs if you want to allow them to run loose, ours do. Just make sure to check if other guests have dog before allowing yours off leash. If they don't like other dogs, that's ok! Please just notify us ahead of time and keep your dog on a leash while outside. Please make sure to clean up after your pet. We do ask that guest do not bring their dogs to our cabin, the well or the farm.

Please keep in mind, this stay is not for everyone. It is close to many things, but it is in itself 'off the grid'. This is not 'glamping', please be prepared for a rustic experience. The winter months can be difficult. The home is heated only by wood, and if the stove goes out the home will be cold until the space has had time to heat back up. We are here to help with the stove if needed, but cannot maintain it throughout the visit.

Our tiny homes are sheltered in a quiet
mossy woodland. Just a mile walk from our land is a lake with wonderful swimming and fishing and the trailhead up the western mountains of Acadia. Take a two and a half mile bike ride in the opposite direction and you'll find yourself at a beautiful picnic spot by the ocean, the perfect place to enjoy a lobster bake as you watch the sun set. If you want to buy a boiled lobster on the docks, go to Thurston's restaurant just 6 miles away!

Please make sure to drive under 10 mph on our road through out your entire trip.

We live near Acadia National Park on a 7 acres of mossy spruce woods with wood chipped trails, arched bridges, castle gates, tiny homes, fantasy art installations and a farm of misfit animals.
During your stay
We are more than happy to help with check in, visit, give a farm tour and give further recommendations if guests would like. For guests who prefer to be more independent each home is set up with a check in binder and we send instructions the morning of check in.

We ask that during your stay, if you need something that is not in the home please let us know. It may have been misplaced. But we can still usually provide it.
